if you like colony sims, this is the best one, other than dwarf fortress.

This is probably the best indie RPG I've played. It's creativity is near-unmatched in terms of it's storytelling. the only negative note I have is that the combat is very simplistic, but for me that's really not the focus, the focus is on the near novel of text and lore that's packed into this game between your decisions and the interesting characters you meet in this dying world.

I really like this game. FPP (First Person Puzzlers) have been having a difficult time finding their way recently with many titles feeling as though once all the elements of the puzzle are in play the solution is obvious. This is not the case in *The Entropy Centre*, and that may be the most ringing endorsement I can give.

The puzzles are varied, and at times I did feel like I came up with a unique solution, or performed a cool jump to save my bacon from having to redo the whole puzzle. This game is unlike many in the genre in many ways, and I personally would place it close to Portal 2 in quality, for me definitely above other indies such as QUBE(1,2,3) or RE:think (not to say those games are bad, but to give my subjective analysis). The dialogue and characters on display are also a standout in the genre, this is an element I personally think is best experienced by yourself, but for me the conversations between characters were never grating or awful. There is a bit of jank, especially with the damage system, or more awkward things like moving extremely large distances quickly. Sometimes you die and it's the game's fault, but it didn't happen too often. There is something to be said in that oftentimes the User Experience of FPP games is tied up in how quickly you can perform the puzzle solution once you've figured it out. IMO this game excels in this function, as it's definitely possible to speedrun these levels very quickly, with the game even giving you a timer at the end of each level telling you how long you took to finish the puzzle.

There are some minor gripes I have with the game, 1. If you collect a readable log, then die in a puzzle, the game doesn't keep track of the log file being read, there is an achivement tied to this that I believe I should have gotten, but because of this condition I will have to replay the game at some point if I want that sweet 100% completion. 2. It would be nice if you could mute the dialogue when you're replaying puzzles (given the theme of the game, it would almost be fitting for the game to pick from a pool of voicelines for each puzzle) while the writing is good, no writing survives ~5 listens when you're focusing on a puzzle solution.

Overall, If you are a FPP fan I would highly recommend you check this game out. IMO Standout title in this genre.

This is my favorite game. When I try to explain the conceptual video game as an art medium this would be my top example to point to in terms of AAA gaming. The way Valve melds story and gameplay elements makes Portal 2 a joy to play, and something to keep coming back to years down the line.

Simply a must play.

Currently ~30hrs into Elden Ring, took me a while to get it working.

It's the best third person RPG I've ever played.
if you like open world RPG's (Skyrim, Witcher 3, Breath Of The Wild) you should play this game.

(OLD REVIEW)
This game does not work on my brand new PC build (RTX 3080Ti, 12700k, 16GB DDR5) it simply launches to a black screen and I have yet to find any others reporting this same issue. Will update review when the game works.

Inscryption is the kind of indie game that creeps up on you. It actually becomes more enjoyable as you continue to play it, despite starting with an incredibly attractive premise. The card game mechanics work extremely well throughout the game, getting significantly more interesting as the game throws twists and turns your way. The setting for this card game is suprisingly drawing, keeping me invested from start to finish on my second attempt at playing. I started this game up for the first time in October of 2021, and completed it when I picked it back up in January 2022, and before the end of the month I had completed every achivement this game has to offer.
I simply do not have enough good things to say about Inscryption. Thank you Inscryption devs for showing the industry the importance of creating an interesting world for your game to take place in.

Early Access Review
Subnautica is a game which both fills me with dread and anticipation, as the majesty of the open ocean is something so powerful which I do not believe is easily expressible in this medium, nor would I do it justice. To understand is to try it for yourself... This came out really pretentious, but i'm sticking with it
Graphics were amazing, as is the whole art style.
The gameplay is great, the survival aspects mixing well with the horror aspects of the Ocean creatures.
The replayablity left something to be desired, with no random generation, or even psuedo-random generation, this game does get slightly stale after a while.
Overall:
9.5/10
Will play more when the game is released.
