By any means, do NOT buy this product. The developers took something wonderful, that was meant to emulate the Alien Isolation formula and turn it into a multiplayer game, but they decided to instead listen to the mainstream audience and turn it into yet another extract shooter.

The alien, which is meant to be the horror element in the game, feels like a burden when playing it and like a nuisance when playing against it. It does not perform nearly as well as it did back in the playtests of the game, when people were telling the developers that the alien might need a small nerf, overall. Instead, they decided to fully rework the alien, and make it vurnerable to pretty much anything on the maps, including removing its strong resistance to bullets and making it so the alien disappears after the 5th shot of an SMG.

Regardless of most people rightfully voicing their concerns on how the new UI is clearly designed with console players in mind, and completely disregards the ease of use on PC, I believe this update has only done well for the game, and has cleared up many hickups I have personally had with it in the past, preventing me from fully enjoying the game.

Yes, the UI clearly needs some work, but it's not like the developers have up and gone, and completely abandoned the project. These things take time and constructive feedback, rather than people mass downvoting the game and uninstalling it.

The new map is spectacular and the new graphical improvements, brought in with the engine upgrade, make the game jaw-dropping, especially with specific weather conditions at play. The map is way more open and lively than the last few maps we had in the game, before this "relaunch" update. It genuinely feels like a new game, running through a sunny forest, with the fog looming over nearby towns.

I can't say enough good things about the athmosphere of the new update, both visually and gameplay-wise. All the game needs right now is some more time for the UI stuff to get cleared up and for the rest of the maps to be brought up to the same visual standard of the new one.
