Look, if you've not played a fighting game before, I couldn't recommend you start here enough. If you have, this game is an absolute must play (even if you generally don't like the genre).

The game is very easy to get into -- the simple mode of the game is a great way to ease yourself in, with the fast, frenetic gameplay that the series is known for -- but the normal mode adds an immense amount of depth for those already familiar with fighting games. This is not to say that the simple mode is bad, not at all. After buying this game on 3 separate platforms, and I've had an incredible time with the game while only rarely touching normal mode.

The main draw of this game is most definitely the roster, and it doesn't disappoint. I can definitively say that there is a team for everyone. Even the joke characters can be strong when you play them right, Most major franchises and characters are represented, so even if you've only played Street Fighter, or only have experience with the Avengers movies, you can make a team of characters that you have experience with. This incredible roster combined with the wonderful art style and incredible music make for a one-of-a-kind game, and you're doing yourself a disservice if you've never played it.
