A fun game and while it stands to distance itself from previous games it is still fun to explore The Dragon Age Setting. Combat is fun and the exploration, puzzles, and armor and weapons feel fun to use. The banter between companions is also fun and I am glad they brought it back. The hair physics are amazing.

The pace is quite slow, like most Dragon Age games and there is a LOT of exposition in the prologue section of the game. So be warned that it takes a bit of time to take off.

Some things are annoying, despite the party banter coming back, all the companions talking to each other like HR is in the room with them and there doesn't seem to be disagreements or animosity between them that you'd find in inquisition companions. All Rook's "aggressive" dialogue options are just straight forward and to the point. It takes the wind out of your sails if you want to be mean and it feels like Rook is always making the rest of the team play nice like a school teacher.

Taash is an annoying child who is written like Tiny Tina from the BL series. Unfunny and petulant. They had so much potential and it was squandered unceremoniously by making them insufferable, they are hypocritical and don't see the irony of what they are saying. It doesn't make the character deep, it makes them annoying but not in an endearing way. Grating. I think inclusion is awesome and all, but I wont forgive poor writing of an inclusive character that feels like a Temu Karlach. Also Isabela telling you the player how to apologize is both patronizing and very awkwardly forced into the narrative.

Would give it a 6/10.

Fun game. Only crashed once while making a peter griffin pawn.

Despite some issues at launch this game still remains one of faves -- If you are a star wars fan the continuation of Cal's story is wonderful. The worlds are fun and fresh, and the exploration and new cosmetics that you can find throughout the world are worth the back tracking. It doesn't feel like a chore to go back through areas you have already explored.

The customization of Cal's kit is very fun to play around with and the different saber hilts I've seen people make and the one I made are always fun to look at.

I would recommend playing this game on a higher end rig, because sadly the optimization isn't the best.
