I picked it up on sale. I didn't enjoy the sling shot opponents. So I uninstalled it.

2024-02-16 - Small Update: I forgot to mention it installs an EA launcher as well (It's an EA title so of course it does). Anyway it doesn't uninstall the launcher when you uninstall the game so make sure to check the installed apps in your OS's settings menu. You'll know if the launcher is still installed since it pops up on the next time you boot up your computer.

I really want to like this game but even after numerous updates addressing the crashing it is still occurring very frequently for me. I've tried all of their recommended fixes but the crashes still occur multiple times a mission. I have a Ryzen 9 3900X, evga 2080ti, 32 gigs of ram, running on windows 11. If your system is similar to mine I'd suggest you think twice before making the purchase. Maybe wait until there is a deep sell or for the crash complaints on the reddit to die down first.

If you are dead set on picking this up get it on sale. The tracks felt repetitive which didn't help when the user has to grind to unlock the next stage of the series. Top level AI didn't put up much of a fight, but since the game generally puts you in the back at the start of the race you have to wade through them for a lap or two before you are just way out in front. I did enjoy the story because of how over the top it was.

Just to say again: If you are going to pick this up get it on sale.

This game is good I enjoy it but I can't give it a positive review due to technical issues I have experienced. After about 4 hours of play the game started stuttering. I went through the help boards and Reddit but their recommendations didn't fix the stuttee I was having. This unfixed stutter is a know issue to players unfortunately I haven't found an official response to this issue. So until I can get the stutter fixed I can't really recommend this game.
