As someone who never really played the Harvest Moon games growing up, I was always pretty curious as to why I always saw them mentioned everywhere.

After playing Stardew Valley, I really wish I had gotten into them.

While I definitely don't think this style of game is for everyone, I personally love the huge payout from carefully managing the in-game months and days; making choices on what things your short time each day would be best dedicated to and what layouts will yield the most efficient harvest.

The art, music, and writing is all enjoyable, and if/when multiplayer is added, I can only imagine the enjoyment will grow exponentially.
