This game is fun and I have enjoyed my time in it, but it has literally been unplayable for over a week now due to the always online servers being down with no sign it'll be fixed, so definitely cannot recommend unless this is removed

No other Kart game has activated my fight or flight quite the same way this game does when you land a jump and suddenly are turned 90 degrees and driving straight towards a wall

A truly unique experience, Sayonara Wild Hearts left me absolutely stunned and speechless from its beautiful art design, incredible soundtrack and constantly changing gameplay. The way the actions flow in time with the music really pumps you up as you speed through the various dreamlike environments, and replaying the levels to work towards gold ranks and find collectibles gives a chance to truly appreciate just how intricate the game is.

The game provides a mostly visual story (with a brief narrated intro and outro) that can be interpreted several ways and that I found myself deeply relating to, and by the end of the game I was genuinely choked up from just how hard it hit.

I don't even want to say much more because it is best to go in to Sayonara Wild Hearts with as little prior knowledge as possible, but I definitely recommend you experience this game at least once.

I didn't know what to expect when I first bought Death's Door, but the style and character design in the trailer immediately drew me in, and what followed was easily one of my picks for best game of 2021.

Combining the action of games such as Hollow Knight and Bastion with beautiful worlds to explore and a cute but grim story, Death's Door just excelled on all levels. The game hosts a wonderful cast of characters to meet, and I found each and every one to be endearing to the point that I was constantly returning to them in hopes they had new dialogue. The music in the game is reminiscent to Titan Souls in the best way, providing a lovely ambiance to the worlds you traverse, but ramping up when it needs to when the action begins.

I not only recommend this game wholeheartedly, but I definitely encourage a 100% playthrough. The content after the first ending adds a lot to the game that is easy to miss if collecting feels daunting, and the reward for a 100% playthrough was incredibly satisfying.

Furi is a game I definitely slept on for way too long. After going back to it years after I first bought it, I was treated to some of the most satisfying parry-heavy and high-paced combat that a game can offer, sandwiched between amazing world design and masterfully done narration.

Reminiscent of games such as No More Heroes, each boss oozes with personality and are all brutal but fair as you learn their patterns and quirks. Each and every time, getting the last hit on a boss that seemed to be nearly impossible to manage at first was immensely satisfying, and every winning run through a boss felt like a seamless flow of attack and defense that was just as fun to watch as it was to play.

Obviously, I can't talk about this game without bringing up the absolutely stunning soundtrack. While walking to each boss, you are treated to ambient tracks that slowly ramp up as you get closer and closer, building up amazing suspense. The actual combat themes shift as you go from phase to phase and are absolutely perfect at capturing the feel of each fight.

Bottom line, I would 100% recommend this game.

While a short game to beat (3 hours for main game, 2 for post-game content in my playthrough), Luna Nights was a super fun experience from start to finish. It is a love letter to Embodiment of Scarlet Devil and is very faithful to the source material; the characters and dialogue feel perfectly inline with the main series of games. The soundtrack to the game is also purely comprised of remixes from the mainline games, with many tracks being taken straight from EoSD and a couple being borrowed from Imperishable Night and Mountain of Faith.

The game's central mechanic, being able to slow down and stop time at will, is also handled exceptionally. Being able to dodge otherwise undodgeable attacks and setting up tons of knives and watching them pile tons of damage on a boss is incredibly satisfying. By the end of the game I was stopping time and setting up attacks almost as much as I was playing in real time. I'd honestly love to see more games utilize time the way Luna Nights does.

The highlight for me, though, were the boss battles. Attacks are done in the same order every time you fight a boss and there is almost no randomness to how the attacks operate, much like the bullet patterns in a bullet hell. Learning the patterns and finding optimal ways of dealing with them felt like a puzzle at times and finally beating some of the harder bosses was incredibly satisfying.

Overall, a great game for fans of the franchise or Metroidvania fans looking for something different.

Early Access Review
This is one rare instance where I felt completely satisfied with an early access game even in its first public release, and I've only enjoyed the game more as it's been updated. It's a fun experience both in single player and in multiplayer, it has a pretty incredible selection of mods, and based on the roadmap it only seems like it'll continue to improve.

I kind of wish there was a "Meh" option in these reviews, because while I do greatly appreciate the fact that I can finally own all major Street Fighter installments (Third Strike especially) in one place, in its current state I cannot entirely recommend this collection.

Update: A few of the following issues may be tied to vsync, it was definitely a smoother experience overall with vysnc disabled, however most of my gripes still stand.

In the short time I've played, I've noticed dropped frames (on a GTX 1080 for the record, not that any graphics card made in the last decade should have an issue with any of these games), input lag, horrendous sound mixing (which might not be a problem if the game had even a single audio option to speak of), no button combo input configs (I don't even really care about grab/overhead/taunt inputs for SF3, but 3x punch and kick are basically mandatory in fighting game emulators these days), inputs being flat-out ignored if you are holding them after leaving the emulator pause menu (which is something that should have easily been caught if this game was properly QA'd, so I'm assuming that was not the case) and on top of all of that, I even crashed out.

While I can understand how people are accepting this as "good enough" considering it's the first time some of these games have even had an official re-release, this feels less like a celebration of 30 years of Street Fighter and more a shameless cash-grab capitalizing on that fact.

If they can fix all the issues in this collection I'll be happy to update this review, but frankly I'm not going to hold my breath.

After being disappointed by Yooka-Laylee, I didn't really have high hopes that this would end up much better, but it quickly blew past my expectations and delivered what I would consider to be the best 3D Platforming experience on PC.

It's certainly not perfect; a few missions were a bit confusing to navigate, some collectibles a bit too hidden, but the great art style and plentiful rewards for going out of your way in each area counterbalanced any frustrations I had. Honestly, the only real complaint I had by the end of the game was that I really wished there were more hourglasses to find and new areas to explore. Luckily, with how open the modding tools are, I feel like that won't be a problem for much longer.

Plus, with multiplayer on its way, I'll have more than enough reason to play through the game again in its entirety in the future.
