Gosh where do I begin with this positively stellar game?

Let's talk a bit about the graphics. No, they're not absolutely incredible, but they ARE charming and well crafted to differ enough from similar games, and the built in CRT filter gives a huge nostalgia trip, reminding me of the days of playing PS2 games on an actual CRT TV.

The gameplay itself is quite engaging, with modifiers you can unlock and enable to make runs feel more fresh, really cool enemies and boss battles, and sooo many weapons that even after 32 hours I still haven't found them all!

This game may seem like just another roguelike like all the others, but it just has so much more charm and inspiration than your common asset-flipped bullet hell TBOI clone type of situation! Can't wait to see where it goes from here.

(Oh and let's not forget to mention it's all done by one guy amongst playtesters to help find bugs and balances. RubyDev deserves all the praise for coming as far as he has without any official team)

ive been a patron in this game for years (playtime on account isnt accurate) and its still been one of the most worthwhile experiences ive had in gaming. would definitely recommend!

As a very emotional person, this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me up for a few hours -- but in a good way! wonderfully drawn out story that pulls you to the edge of your seat, until suddenly kicking you back with a heart wrenching reality. I would 100% recommend this game to anyone. A cinematic masterpiece to say the least.

Hopefully you aren't running on a 2-in-1 laptop like me, because if you are, this game INSISTS on running in portrait mode instead of landscape, even after the orientation lock is turned on. Would have loved to play it otherwise as it looked quite fun.
