TL;DR - 10/10, probably the best heist game on Steam.

Teardown is a perfect balance between planning and execution. In fully destructible environment you can prepare your route whichever way you like - only your creativity (and ammo) are the limits.

Levels are extremely well designed, challenging, non-repetitive and fun. Each mission gives you different objectives and tools you can use in order to achieve them.

No matter what you are looking for; a puzzle, sandbox, speedrunning or fast action-paced experience, you will find it there. And you won't be disappointed.

Those overwhelmingly positive reviews are not lying: just grab the game and play it now.

It's been a couple of years since the game was released. I was waiting for some discounts to get it for a resonable price. And oh boy, I'm so glad I did that.

So, the game was... ok. And that's it.

The story wasn't eather great or horrible, it was just fine. I'd say it was slightly below the average South Park episode standards.

For world exploration there was a bunch of secrets and few mechanics letting you to reach them. Difficulty of the puzzles was extremally low and at some point puzzles felt like forced waiting implemented just to extend your gameplay time.

The only thing that really improved comparing to the prequel was the combat system which got way better. Each boss fight was unique, skills are well balanced, plenty of classes and abilities to chose from.

And ofc the worst part - the ubisoft launcher that forces you to make an account and log in anytime you want to play a game.

TL;DR - 6/10, about 20-30h of content for 100%. Grab only during heavy discount.

Early Access Review
Gameplay is pretty good - interesting upgrades, different weapons and characters with unique abilities.

What I really disliked about the game is 'Darkness' system. You have to beat the game 15 times to unlock the highest difficulty. That's tedious AF.
Also, almost every single Darkness lvl upgrade is pretty much insignificant and boring (like half of them is just plain HP buff for enemies). There were maybe like 3 out of 15 modifiers that actually affected the gameplay, all other runs felt exactly the same.

Could be a really fun experience if the difficulty system was redesigned into something that would bring more variety and replayability to gameplay.

It was exactly what I was hoping for - short and fun open world game similar to "Destroy all humans!"

● Very few bugs
● Good humor
● Nice graphics
● Simple gameplay
Shark physics
● About 15h of content (including the DLC) for 100%

Worth giving a try.

It's basically Terraria clone with few new ideas and mechanics.

● The amount of content is good but it quickly gets repetitive.
● New worlds that you can visit are mostly recolored version of the first planet but with higher stat mobs, better treasures and new vanity items.
● Weapons and tools have durability - frequent repairs are required to prevent your equipment from getting permanently destroyed.
● Building is clunky and rather limited due to really big basic block size.
● Achievements are super grindy (most of my 'playtime' was idling for 250h achievement)

There are many better choices for Terraria-like games on steam, but this one isn't the worst at all.
It probably won't absorb you that much but it's still fun to play for a few days.

TL;DR: 9/10 - Simply amazing. May lack some replayability after a while but everything else is top notch.

The concept of this game is very simple: a roguelite FTL-like experience where you are the pilot of a small spaceship. I've played it for a while and I was surprised how beautiful and well polished the game is. There is a lot of stuff I really liked and I'll try to list the most important of them:

● Gameplay - Well balanced, complex, with a lot of different playstyles and builds you can go for.
● Controls - I've played a bunch of games focused around piloting a spaceship and in this one controls are top tier. Your ship feels really responsive, intuitive, and just super smooth to fly. Also, easy to learn.
● Gameworld - I think it's the strongest aspect of the game. The Everspace's universe is well designed, scenic, full of life and various events. So much to explore, so many things to encounter.
● Graphics - I'm barely mentioning graphics in my reviews, but in this case these are just breathtaking.
● Difficulty - Rather good difficulty scaling, later sectors can get tough if you don't know what you are doing.
● Progression - A lot of unlockable perks, loadouts, blueprints and starting items. Perks are really well balanced, making your playstyle unique each time you pick a different loadout.
● Achievements - Reasonable and not too grindy.

Ok, I guess that's it.

Of course, as I've mentioned before, there are some cons as well. The biggest problem is that there is not that much content to keep the experience fresh for a long time, so after ~30h of gameplay it will start getting repetetive. It's not a big issue, just keep in mind that it's not an endless content game like EVE or other space sims.

Review for 2.0 patch.

TL;DR - 5.5/10, not the most memorable experience.
I'd love to give this game neutral review but there is no such option on steam.

Even tho game mechanics are simple and rather enjoyable the game feels really repetitive and linear.
The reason for this is that special class abilities and lvl-up upgrades are having very little impact on your gameplay, making every single run feel exactly the same regardless of your loadout. The only thing that matters is plain exp for damage and the weapon type you can randomly roll from the chest in the end of each floor.
That leads to situation where your entire roguelite experience is reduced to rolling the right weapon and stomping all the enemies right after you get it.

This could be an interesting game but definitely needs some balance changes and more playstyles variety.

This review was made in response to rising a price of a game ~1200% in Russia and the outrage it caused.
I'm really agains mixing up gaming and politics and I feel like this time I should say something more about it.

There are other better way to support victims of war and help with the conflict.

Rising a game price for a country doesn't help anybody. It only will increases the anger and hatred of regular citizens in times when we should stay and work together to end this conflict without using force and violence.

For devs: regardless what your actual intentions are, rising a price of a game won't prevent people from dying, won't help people in need of food and water, won't help to solve the conflict. It also won't affect the Russian government nor economy.
If you really want to help, bring the old price back, make a charity stream or sale, and try to unite people instead of dividing them even further.

And for all you gamers here, let's stay strong and don't let some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ conflict divide us.
