What to say? I was an "onlywatch"er, the term gave to people who watched Seagull and other streamers who played while the game was in a lengthy beta. I was obsessed with the game before it even launched. A time when community feedback was of the utmost importance. Monthly developer updates from Jeff spoke to the community and let everyone know where the game was headed and that it was cared for. Fast forward, the game launched and it was a pop culture phenomenon that took over the world. Friends and I obsessively played for 5 years as the care continued to pour in from the highly respected Blizzard devs. Got an Overwatch tattoo with my crew. Invited a guy I met from Overwatch half way across the continent to my Wedding. I LOVED the game. Then Bobby Kotick decided the $$ numbers weren't big enough. The content was choked. We still played though. A little less frequently but the anticipation of #2 had us holding on. To see what Overwatch has become, it's pathetic. World was their oyster. Rumours of a Netflix Show. An entire sports like league I had tickets to go to. Movies. A new PvE expansion. They went with a "sequel" though. Clear money grab in all ways imaginable. Hands down the worst sequel of all time. Everything they once built has been pissed away for battlepass garbage. The game has lost all sense of direction with mind boggling gameplay changes. The care the developers once had is so very clearly gone. Trend setting, genre defining game no more. I beg of you not to download or play this game. Boycotting this abomination is the only thing that can maybe bring back the game I once loved, but I'm starting to think it's too late. The world could use more heroes, Don't play this game.

I'm enjoying this game quite a bit. To me it feels different then most MMO's I've played. At least how I've been playing it. Exploration is the most rewarding and I find myself really laid back while playing oppose to trying to grind out levels. The questing also feels good. I never played pre-wastelanders update but the world seems as full and interesting as any other MMO. Not quite single player Fallout level of immersion but the game is scratching my MMO itch. The game has the glitches and jank that Bethesda has (disappointingly) become known for. Which docks some marks for me. Also the controls and options feel lacking for PC. I've had to follow youtube guides editing .ini files just to get this game running less ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Which leads me to my main complaint. The main reason I marked 76 as a cannot recommend is the poor performace. My PC gets 180fps in far better looking games. This game can look rather pretty. Setting up my settlement over a cliff side and looking out from your pad is pretty satisfying. Having the game drop to 20fps on low settings is not.

This game has a lot going for it. For $20 I have recommended it to friends. I do plan on playing the game more. Until Bethesda prioritises optimisation though, my review will (unfortunately) remain negative.
