honestly a very fun game, but the crashes are so frequent after the first areas that it is basically unplayable.

Never tried PvP, but the PvE missions with a single life are extremely difficult and require split second timing in many scenarios. the guns are so loud by default when you are in close quarters the gunshots are almost deafening and definitely get my heart racing.

good fun for a short while until the novelty wears off. it's constantly updated though so that's a huge plus, it's not just some random cash grab. worth the 5 dollars especially if you and your friends just want something different

When I first tried out this game I was able to get into a few matches with people in them, using portals and fast paced shooting. It was really enjoyable if I'm being honest. I played the game recently just to see what was up and I noticed I was being put into a lobby with one or two real people, and the rest were bots. I don't mean bots as an insult, I mean literal bots. They would run in predicable lines, never jumped, and sometimes would shoot at me and then randomly walk off somewhere and forget at me while I was shooting at them. Went on like this for two or three games with the majority being 1-3 real players (including myself). If you check the steam player charts https://steamcharts.com/app/677620 the game doesn't really have players, but throwing in bots as filler is annoying.

Game itself was fun fighting actual people, and the loot system feels like a cheap grab and they all look really bad.

This game is by no means a bad game, it's just over hyped. The story will make little sense and you'll never have your questions answered, and they'll only ever get bigger. You can call this game a beautiful masterpiece, but in my perspective it's just a nice arcade game that will never have any true meaning. Buy it on sale for no less than 10 dollars, because you'll finish the story in 4 hours if you're sight seeing and 3 if you're on the ball. Don't expect any complex puzzles, don't think there's any hidden easter eggs for you. The whole thing is very straight foward with one clear direction even though large spaces might lead to you to believe in the contrary. Overall, it's an alright game.

Let's be clear, if you're looking for a story driven game, skip this game. The story is the most bland, non-exciting campaign you'll ever play. However, if you don't care about that, this game's gameplay is absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun. It's just a rush of nonstop action that if you're not maneuvering and constantly blasting mofos you're going to get hit, A LOT. This game won't hold your hand either, before you know it you're going to look at what you have to fight and just think, "♥♥♥♥ me, man". Then you jump into the action head first because you're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ badass and then you get DESTROYED by the game's mechanics. I'm talking, getting stun locked until your mech gets blown up because it takes 3-4 seconds for your mech to actually jump out of the way. Or, using your grappling hook (that has an effective range of 5 feet) and then getting shot randomly and having your guy do a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ summer salt and falling off the edge of whatever you were trying to get to. This game plays like dark souls, you WILL get pissed at one point, and it won't be because of your own messups. It will be because these people didn't even decide to play their own game (just like dark souls) and it will be at your expense.

That's what makes this game really fun, it's a perfect balance of complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and the satisfaction of complete annihilation of every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing you see. Just going to town and going on a genocide run on the inhabitants of this planet, monster or human. This game even demands that you constantly kill ♥♥♥♥, because if you don't you won't have enough of their souls (thermal energy) to keep your mech running. So, you have to kill more and more just to kill other things. The bosses will give you a run for your money and so will the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ checkpoint (or lack thereof) in this game. There are a lot of enemies at any given time, and sometimes they're foot soldiers or just small bugs. And sometimes they're the biggest meanest, stun lockiest monsters the game has to offer. It makes no difference, there will be a lot of them, and you will feel like a badass once everything is six feet under.

Small list of things to be aware of:
- I'd wait until this goes on sale, definitely worth 10 dollars
- Keyboard support is ok, you cannot sprint and you have to walk a lot on very large scale maps
- the cut scene audio was out of sync ranging from 1 second to 5
- stun locking is a very real thing in this game
- enemies do not wait for you to do anything, they will all rush you, clipping into each other and anything goes for them
- there are instances where monsters and humans will be right next to each other but they won't fight each other, they will ignore one another and focus on you
- most of the guns are really fun to use, especially the sniper rifle
- mechs are a blast to use, and you will be in one for a majority of the game
- this game is meant to be played on hard mode

Everything in this game is very straight forward. You will like this game, especially if you just feel like destroying ♥♥♥♥. It also has two different timelines (Not super game changing, same deal with different individuals) as well as collectables, perks, and upgrades so you'll eventually replay it. For first time, go with Wyatt. There's a character you'll want to meet.
