Skylines 2 is a noticeable improvment over the basegame of the first cities skylines. It lacks some of the depth that was added with DLC in the original. road building has improved substantially, and the progression system is much more intuitive than the old system. The game is somewhat demanding for system resources, especially as you build up, but this is not unusual for games in the genre.

Overall, if you are a fan of the original, and aren't to dependent on mods, it is worth a purchase.

you know how sometimes a game can be so good, that you manage to look for all the flaws? yeah, this is one of those games. like, im not going to focus on the good, because if you even remotely like management types of games, OR amusement parks and roller coasters, then this should be in your library.

Flaws:
Path tool is messy and clunky at times.
its very difficult to make a decently smooth coaster.
wing coaster stations defy reality.
no on ride photo.
no water park expansion.
demanding on system resources.
almost no midway games.
almost no live entertainment.
guests dont use tables for eating as much as they should.
no ability to do split load and unload stations.
needs more depth in the staffing departments.

The fact that all my listed flaws are realism based/wishlists, and not game breaking really shows the quality of this game.

this is the game Sim city should have been. there are a few minor flaws here and there, however the game plays well, and has the ability to make ♥♥♥♥-dams.

I have spent MANY MANY hours playing this. the second is still in dev, and has modding support, but the orignal is a classic. if you like music, play this.
