I'd say this is about 40% of the Cyberpunk that I wanted. Its still lacking a lot, but it makes up for it with amazing characters, standout performances, and amazing writing. Idris Elba killed it, and Keanu Reeves lines don't sound like his performance in Dracula anymore. They really nailed it. I only have a single issue. At the end of the DLC, I keep crashing over and over again. So I have to make small progress, get an auto save, crash, repeat. Other than that, this DLC makes the main game look like a joke. You can feel the difference even in the side quests of this DLC. Every side quest has a much stronger narrative than the main game by miles. This takes Cyberpunk in its current state with all the fixes drop down to a 2/10 for me. Its only purpose is allow the DLC to use its assets.

Early Access Review
Three guys made a better game than current DICE ever could. Absolute legends. 127v127 is probably the most fun I've ever had playing any FPS. The gunplay and level system is also really rewarding and enjoyable. The open mic is just the icing on the cake.

Probably one of the best DLCs I've ever owned. The amount of content and also incredible new stage really add so much to this game. Just like the main game, criminally under priced, which makes it even better.

I didn't think someone could get a worse monetization system than a Blizzard game, but here we are. 1970 Capital and a new gundam costs 1980. Very cool developers, I'm not spending $40 on this trash.

Probably one of the worst Co-Op experiences of my life. I honestly think that it shouldn't have been included or advertised at all because of how impossible it is to play with someone in the same country, let alone playing it any farther than that. Also experienced a lot of massive bugs including a major softlock that required a full stage restart (which was a waste of time and took away a brand new unlock which I was looking forward to using). They also take the DMC "philosophy" way to far. What do I mean by that? They force you to fight the same boss, but this time it's a normal enemy with more trash to distract you. Story is boring and the artstyle is generic Unreal Engine 4. I do love the combat, but only when I'm playing solo. Only nice thing I can say about this product.

Probably one of my favorite city builders to date. They just keep adding updates to this game and giving it much more love than I thought they ever would.

For $3, this game is heavily under priced. One of the best Early Access games to exist with consistent updates and roadmaps to show the community where the game stands in development. Addictive gameplay, great secrets, and amazing community. 10/10 game.

Edit: The game has been increased to $5. Doesn't effect my review because its just 2 extra dollars.

Addictive gameplay at such a great value. At $5, you really can't go wrong with a game this charming.

$15 is a lot to ask for and this DLC only delivers 2 characters, void items, and 3 stages. One character being a decent port of an already existing (FREE) mod, while the other is just Dark Samus with a mildly interesting gimmick. New items and enemies really feel like this was an update meant for Early Access, or just a free update. Nothing about this DLC says it's worth $15, $10, or even $5. Pretty sad compared to the Risk of Rain 1 days where we just got free updates for a game that was already complete. Now we just get paid updates for what still feels like an Early Access game. Mods are the only thing keeping Risk of Rain 2 alive.

Edit: A lot of joke awards for a true statement lmao. I'd love to see one person justify how overpriced this mod is other than "Well the devs deserve it." If you really think that, buy the game for your friends instead like I did in Early Access. Also turns out this DLC broke like half the game. Rusty Keys give red items 100% of the time, a terrible rework to falling off the map leads to an infinite feedback loop you can't escape without help, one void item wasn't dropping for the first week, and my favorite "change" enemy fire effects now last far too long to be enjoyable to play against. Also Void Fiend getting NO new alternate skills? Pretty weak honestly.

Progression is far to slow to enjoy. Only tier 2 upgrades are available in the beginning, and requiring monkey money for any new towers. This makes the "New Player Experience" dreadful. Watching the gameplay before the release on Youtube, every video had all paths unlocked, all towers, and all heroes unlocked. It's just very misleading. Most of the videos informed us that we would need to unlock towers, which is fine. What isn't fine is having to sit on boring towers that only go to tier 2 for hundreds of battles. Monetization also seems somehow worse and MORE predatory than BTD6?

TL;DR - Experience gain is slow, monkey money gain is slower, battle points for chests is also slow, and overall the games new player progression was NOT thought out intelligently.

Edit 1: If you decided to purchase VIP, the progression is slightly faster, but still slow. I just want to experiment with builds, but each new build I try, I have to sink hundreds of games that are basically guaranteed loses because my towers are trashcan compared to people just spamming upgraded Bomb/Tack towers. Even after sinking all those games, what if the tower sucks? The Spike Factory starts with ZERO upgrades, making it absolutely useless and ruining your team to just 1 hero and 2 towers.
