I'm pretty confident saying factory games aren't my forte, but Satisfactory is AMAZING. Something about the never-ending expansion and hunt for resources is highly appealing to me. Weirdly enough, Satisfactory scratches the same itch that Subnautica does for me: exploring an alien world and progressing by exploiting resources more and more. Plus, this is a game that you can sink easily sink hundreds of hours into because there's just that much to do (on phase 3 of 10 at the time of writing this review).

OW2 is a guilty pleasure. Fun but horribly flawed, and its no secret by now that Blizzard's monetization could only be worse if it was pay-to-win. Fun moments don't happen as much as they should because the most active players take it way too competitively. For that reason, you'll also run into similar, if not identical, team comps on a regular basis, and the meta gets stale QUICK.

If you hate yourself, you'll probably like DBD. This isn't a game I recommend lightly because it definitely has its issues, given the poor new player experience, general toxicity in the community, and questionable dev decisions. I do not recommend this game if you don't have friends to play it with at least every once in awhile.

However, it is a lot of fun if you can get past the learning hurdles and avoid taking the game too seriously. It's easy to fall into the mindset of playing competitively after playing for too long, but for the love of god don't. DBD can be immensely stressful and unbelievably irritating sometimes. If you get upset at games easily, skip this one. If you have bad anxiety, do not play DBD. If you have a heart condition, pretend it isn't here. There's a myriad of reasons I think this game isn't for everyone - even among horror fans and the like. Still, if you don't mind its flaws and are able to enjoy it, this game is very fun too. I wouldn't have played it as much as I have (2.5k hours on console + whatever steam says) if it was nothing but frustrating and stressful.

Short but sweet, took me just under 6 hours to beat (and I think I was going a little slowly). Story isn't anything special and is a little disappointing compared to previous Amnesia games. That said, the gameplay is a 10/10; If you like games where every resource is precious and has to be carefully managed, you'll love this one.

Broadly speaking, the game's good.

Bungie isn't without their issues: their monetization is predatory and expensive. They've had a bad habit of locking a majority of content (especially rewarding content that's worth spending time on) behind paywalls. Some time ago, they outright removed a vast portion of the game's content, which a not insignificant number of people paid for, which has yet to return. Bungie is also notorious for their own inconsistency: some of the updates they release are stunning examples of what a live-service game should be like, while some of the updates they push actively make the game worse for no apparent reason. Why they do that I'll never know, and I can only pray those days are behind us.

As for the game itself, I'm willing to say its great. By no means is it perfect, as it isn't without its fair share of bad writing and poor decisions on the developer's part, but the game is fun to play. The gunplay is some of the best I've seen from an fps, the writing really shines through sometimes, and there are countless unforgettable visuals. At its core, the guns feel good to shoot and the enemies feel good to kill. Rarely is it frustrating, stressful, or headache-inducing. It's made better by the characters and stories, as the world is built extremely well and its a joy to watch the space fantasy saga unfold on such a well-set stage. The game definitely takes a sizeable time commitment (I have 480 hours on console in addition to whatever's on Steam) which may turn some away but attract others.

I only wouldn't recommend Destiny to someone that doesn't have friends to play it with, though there are internal and external forums for finding fireteams and possibly making new friends.

I think the game is really fun! There were a few performance issues here and there but I don't have a high end graphics card, so I'm willing to wager that isn't the game's fault. Gameplay is fluid, well-paced, and just generally feels really good. I know most don't really care about the story, but I didn't mind it - sci-fi, cyberpunk, and dystopias are my thing and if they're yours too, you probably won't mind the story either. My only real complaint is the amount of content: the game isn't particularly long as I beat it in about 6 hours while moving at a substandard pace. The replay value comes largely from hardcore mode and collectibles, neither of which I can bring myself to completing.

Worth picking up if its on sale, but otherwise you're better off wishlisting it and saving the game for later when its on sale.

Early Access Review
So the game is in early access, so some aspects are obviously buggy, unfinished, or straight up missing. Those things aside, this game is great. It has many things planned for it, and those things are being worked on. This world is colder, and features many new creatures, or variants of previous ones. I'm assuming you're still reading if you already know a decent bit about the game, and this game takes place after the previous one. The current story is interesting, as we have met a surviving precursor, and are in trouble with the CEO. New jobs await us, and we await them to be finished. I have found several story triggers, and i can say they are pretty interesting. Of course, this may change, but it seems our colleague is dead/MIA, the vesper gets infected with kharaa, and we meet a non-alterra person on the planet. The story looks like it will get interesting, but for now, we have to wait for the game to be finished.

It's pretty fun for a few hours and its nice to explore, but the rafts have a few problems with collision and every island except for the starting one seems to have a tiger shark. Iv'e killed 4 and they respawn apparently. Other than forced isolation, it's a pretty good game.
