I can't say enough about how patches 13 and 14 have COMPLETELY revived the game for me. As I say in my original review below, I put in around 40 hours in the beta...and that's pretty much where it stopped. There just wasn't enough depth to the character builds, level variety, and most weapons were simply not worth using.

Level variety was slowly changed over time, but patch 13 brought the class overhaul, which is what brought me back. The classes feel amazing now, and they're still putting finishing touches on the Vet. Then patch 14 came along and made almost every single weapon in the game worth using. Absolutely amazing!

Since coming back I've about tripled my previous play time, and I don't see myself stopping any time soon.

This game is now 100% worth your money, BUT, it's also on Game Pass!



Original Review: It's still a bit rough around the edges, but I'm having far more fun with this than I did either of the Vermintide games. It's still pre-release and I already have nearly 40hrs in the game. Safe to say I enjoy it.

Setting aside the normal queues that happen for every MMO, this launch has been absolutely fantastic. And the game is more of the same. It's so refreshing to finally have a game come out that I can genuinely see myself spending a LOT of time in. Maybe even finally replacing WoW for good! Fingers crossed!

Cannot recommend until they multiply the number of servers available by at least 10. 2k cap servers is absolutely absurd, especially for a company like Amazon.

Hilariously fun smash-em-up game! Well worth the price even when it's not on sale.

It's fun, but as of now you can't even play because of server issues. The thing that really gets me is that this game has absolutely no business being "always online". All they had to do was follow how Borderlands handles multiplayer, and this would have been an instant-recommend.

Steer clear for now.

Server issues seem to have subsided, and the game is back to being one of the best ARPGs available.

Forget the peasant memes, this game is fantastic. I was shocked at how smooth it runs on my 1070. I was hoping to upgrade before playing, but stock issues have prevented that. No need to any more!

Great fun. Nothing more satisfying than blasting the opposing pitcher with a come-backer!
