Having over 2.2k hours in PoE, this one is gonna hurt. But a game can't improve if criticism isn't given.

Absolutely everything about PoE2 right now is a slog. Combat, movement, zone size, constant dodging, lack of gear, lack of crafting currency, gem options. Everything. It's worse than "Ruthless" in PoE1. Monsters are crazy over-tuned. Bosses take a crazy long time to kill. And there are FAR too many on-death effects.

On the technical side, the game is well made. Servers have been decent for the most part since they finally came up, and I think PoE2 actually runs better than the original.

But on day 2 I find myself with no desire to play, and that's real bad. I'll put more time in, and continue to update my review as things change, but right now this just isn't for me.

The new combat system is fun. Story is mostly good. Companions are fine, except for Taash who is just absolutely awful. Like they wanted to make a Karlach-type character but missed EVERYHING that made Karlach a great character.

There's just not enough here. Gathering minerals adds a nice little twist, but nearly all the weapons are absolute garbage until fully leveled, and you rarely get that satisfying feel of being really powerful. It takes nearly perfect upgrade rolls every time to really feel like you're cruising.

Beyond the power of the weapons, they're all just really bland/boring, and none of the overclocks really help that. Once you have them all unlocked, you realize there's never really going to be anything you'll be really happy to get.

You've all earned 30 minutes leave. Congratulations! But remember, we must remain vigilant for more of their tricks!

Quite a bit of fun. I think my only real complaint is that some of the weapons are just completely useless. Like even at the highest quality with the max affixes, there are a handful that I'd never even think about using in any run.

Game looks and runs like absolute garbage. What little dialog I made it through was just awful. The opening sequence might be one of the worst I've ever seen.

Anything you pay for and can't access rightfully deserves criticism.

This is the pinnacle of CRPGs right now, but that isn't to say there aren't flaws. My biggest complaint is that BG3 seems to suffer from the same thing Divinity: OS2 did, with a final act much weaker than the first couple. Not quite to the same extent, but the transition from the end of Act 2 into 3 was a crazy tone shift.

All that said, this is the best game of the year, hands down. Get it.

Best game I've played of this genre. Some elements/tags are much better than others so far, but it's still very early in development. I've gotten my moneys worth several times over already, and I doubt I'll stop playing any time soon.

I really want to like this, but there's simply not enough here. You're severely limited in how you can interact with your deck compared to other games in the same genre. I consistently find myself wishing I could just start a run with 2/4 team members, as some of them are unbelievably weak compared to others. So far, either by pure bad luck or just bad design, Stitch has been nearly useless in every run.
