Yup, definitely a disappointment. The reviews are accurate. I have a relatively high end machine. More than enough to run this game, yet the framerates make it a mess. The most annoying part is the randomness of it. There will be moments where everything runs well, then it just drops to crap frame rates and then, usually after I change a graphical element in game, it works, but eventually it goes back to running poorly. I've noticed that police vehicles just come over to me and bump against me complaining about scanners, then go away, then come back again. They are very annoying. Some ai are broken, I had a large group of fighter ships completely ignore me while I was destroying a cap ship. It's just not even close to done. I don't think I would've announced that I'd worked on this for 7 years before releasing it in it's state. I paid $50 for a game that should've cost $1.99 in the state it's in. Everything you've read is true, and I love all the x games, except for rebirth.
