And once again, the developer Connection together with the Mango Party publisher! The last time I, and many fans, saw them was in the game Happiness Double Room, whose fans are eagerly awaiting their upcoming project - Summer Clover.

Based on the experience from the latest game it's safe to say that they surely can have you immersed in their narratives and "feel" the main characters. If you ask any fan, they would confirm their empathy for Shen and Minami and sheer happiness, fright, tears and other strong emotions from seeing the protagonists' growth throughout the game, completely forgetting about their own lives.

So, what can we expect from Summer Clover? Firstly, this is a pre-release review based solely on the game's beta, which turned out to be quite extensive and substantial for a beta. It will be interesting to know how much time the full game will take to complete, considering possible secret achievements and more. After all, secret achievements in Happiness Double Room took almost 500 in-game hours to truly enjoy the game process rather than just chase the achievements.

Gameplay: It also involves strategy with the system of investigating points for various activities, which are truly abundant. And I'm confined that the full version has even more to offer, given the intriguing icons in churches and exclusive development pictures on the Patreon of the developer, which I used to be subscribed to. So I can assure you: there'll A LOT of content.

The money and relationship system: Here's an interesting fact: improving the relationships with Shizuko lowers prices in her shop. Overall, the relationships with the sisters and between the sisters are very important since they talk to each other and may worsen the relationship with you. So I don't recommend upsetting any one of them; I've received the "Angry" status three times all at once and improving things back as they were is an impossible task. Especially if your energy cost from your own stress is high. But I guess this is just a limitation of the beta so I won't say that you aren't going to make it.

However, what does remain untouched is the immersion in the game in those 20 hours I've played to as relaxing and immersive soundtrack. And as I improved our relationships with the sisters, it started to feel more enjoyable to interact with them. Because at first, talking to Shizuko left much to be desired.

The systems of hobby, cooking, and new unique communication mechanics with more varied H content were briefly introduced in the beta but it's a topic of further reviews after completion of the game.

But for now, I want to thank Connection for their recent masterpiece. There's, indeed, not many games like these on the market. And I will continue to love Happiness Double Room and hope that there will be some merchandise released soon:)
