Thanks to my hunt for achievements at the time and a few friends who recommened it, I ended up trying out the game.

I didn't expect to much from a cheap indie game, but I was really pleasantly suprised.

Not only was it as good as some of my friends suggested, it was plain awesome. I loved the storyline and the soundtrack and while the game mechanics aren't that great, in the end those didn't really matter compared to the experience of the rest.

It was an remarkable story to follow and the soundtrack fitted that great. So even though a lot of the game seems dated, I fully recommend people should give it at least a chance and maybe they will experience the same great feelings I have gotten from it.

As an additional note:
This is the game I nominated 23-11-2016 for the “I'm Not Crying, There's Something In My Eye” Award.

As it is now I cannot recommend it. After playing the game for about 11 hours I grew tired of a Covert Ops bug (where you cannot redeploy your agents, and this is a known bug since October and hasn't been fixed up to now.) There is also a lot of unneeded micromanagement that is simply driving me crazy. Having to reassign my trade routes (to the same route they were already doing even..) every so many turns and that for every single trade route. Also having to redeploy my satellites to the same positions every so many turns. And having to build the same type of buildings in every city every time and time again.

The game is really lacking some proper macro management tools like:
-Auto redeploy trade route check mark.
-Queues for city builds (set up your own preferred queues and let the city follow one of your setups) or even a mayor who can auto build the things for you.
-An option do auto replace a satellite when the old one comes down or even some option to relift it higher in orbit at a cost.
-An option for your workers to upgrade all your roads. (Instead of having to do that manually.)

I'm also missing some chances they had to make it more fun, perhaps some real terraforming where you can change the actual terrain, lower it, raise it and so on.

Basically the game is a lot of fun, but it could be so much better, but with all the unneeded micromanagement there is now it's simply not my type of game. I will probably pick it up again though after a few patches and perhaps some dlcs if those bring the game to a more complete package like civilization.

I am really not much of a fan this genre. But the story line was very nicely told, I played it to the end mainly because of that.

The levels themselves are rather simple and easily completed. You can finish the whole game in a couple of hours. In the end it's remarkable how you get sympathy for those little simply drawn shapes thanks to the storyteller.

Great remake of the original from the Amiga, one I played many years ago. The models and sceneries are nice and enjoyable, while not state of the art. And flying around with mantas or riding the island in a walrus is really pleasant. Also the added single player campaign sheds some light as to how the whole war there started in the first place. A weird mix of FPS and skimpy storyline is added as a little bonus or big tutorial maybe. As the game is now however it's like a raw diamond, lots of potential, but all locked in. The terrible AI and even worse walrus AI pathfinding is disturbing. However as the makers of the game are going to release/open up more and more to the modding community. (Including ways to design and import/share islands.) And are bringing out patches, I have high hopes this game will be great in the future. Probably what I will do is shelve the game soon and then try it again next year with a dozen mods and patches installed ;)

I've played the game for about a week and it was fun, but then it crashed. The simple crash of the game wiped the savegames and I would have to start again. And that when I was near the end of the game. Not really in the mood to restart, perhaps it's possible to make a manual backup of the save game directory so when the worst happens it might be possible to restore it. So in short, fun game, bit dated console port though and a bad bug.

PS. It is possible to restore manual saves, but it's a pain none the less. (Mine was 2 days old, but at least I won't have to replay everything.)

Really nice game. Lots of things to do. It's a bit like Spiral Knights only single player and with a strong 'shop' component added where you can sell the loot you find in the dungeons to various NPC's.

Fun games, certainly majesty 1. Majesty 2 is like a trimmed down version of majesty 1, with better graphics. Still both are certainly fun to play.

I found this an enjoyable turn based strategy game.

I was hoping for a sequal to dungeon siege 1 or 2. But as it turns out this game has nearly nothing to do with the previous games. It's more like a cheap version of darksiders. The graphics are nice, it has some good combat action, though I liked the versatility of DS1 more. It's a pity that in DS3 most enemies look like clones, all the same faces. And there is no diablo like loot system or a goal where you try to get good gear to showing, use or trade with friends, in fact the coop option is truely limited, but those who log in are forced to stay in the same screen as the host, so no wandering off and they cannot bring their own characters, gear and so on. The only thing they can do is use a free character slot on the host. So they don't gain anything for the time they spend on it. At least not for their own campaign. It's a pity really that they called it DS3, I can only hope there will be a real sequel for DS1 someday in the future.

Simple one of the best tower defense games I know. Great strategy involved, not only can you choose what tower to place but also by placing the towers you can shape the paths. And the handy, fall back to checkpoint under a hotkey is really an excellent feature.
