This game is a giant turd that feels like it's still in beta! I can't keep ignoring this review too it's time I put my two cents in!

I'm someone who preordered the game after trying out the beta and was pretty excited with what I saw! The network lag wasn't bad at all and I remember playing for hours learning the basics with the game and relearning my pokes and combos. But when the game was actually released it became a pre-order NIGHTMARE!

The games network connectivity was garbage the moment they rolled the game out on release. I could barely play with anyone! And even more so couldn't do cross-platform play without even more of a stuttery mess. You get what I like to call ghost hits. Someone throws a sweep or does a shoryuken or w/e and before you can even have time to block or react the game has already thrown out their move and it becomes increasing hard to block something that's already come out and has been registered as a hit.

Graphic wise the game looks... Amazing? I was stunned by the visuals when I first got the game, and I still believe it looks pretty good. I really have nothing to complain about in this department, as the game looks great to me. Can't say the same for other people but I can play at all max settings @ 1920x1080 no problems!

The gameplay now this is a tough one for me to really measure, as I only really play Ryu (I tried R.Mika but she's just not for me). Apparently whatever stronger attack gets pushed is supposed to pretty much counter anything weaker than it. Someone throws a light punch, but you throw a heavy punch and the heavy punch SHOULD always come out on top. However this doesn't feel like the case. Also how does one guard properly when someone is blantly allowed to just throw pokes at you on wake up, but when I wake up and try and do a shoryuken to try and push back the player some (Because I see it coming! Some of these players do the same moves over and over) but somehow pokes are far greater of a tool and trying to get up off the ground just leads to more pressure. How are you supposed to play a game of pressure if you're not allowed to counter attack someone on wake up with a full hearty random (or maybe not random) shoryuken?

The story mode was fun! I actually enjoyed the story for what it was! While some may say cringy, I liked a some of the "anime" like style they went with, like how Rashid and his buddy throw their arms in the air like an anime character acting all surprised. It's silly but with some serious added around the story. *****Spoilers maybe***** (Did Ryu over come the Satsui-no-hado? If so, is it cannon? We need more E.Ryu!)

There's plenty of content with this game, esp since they're releasing more and more as time goes on. But to be honest I would of just prefered Capcom wait till 2018 to release this game. Because only now are we getting things like directinput and actual keyboard support for keyboard players such as myself. This game when it was released felt like an alpha, but now it feels like a beta.

Now don't get me STARTED ON THOSE DLCs!!! YOU DO NOT win enough FM to be able to start unlocking all characters and stages. Back in the day games were released with EVERYTHING THAT CAME ON THE DISC/WHATEVER IS IN THE GAME. This whole paying for the season passes and costumes is ridiculous! I paid $60 for this game and the only character I can play is Ryu. I hardly play enough to make a difference in my FM to be able to afford more stages and characters (Wouldn't mind playing Akuma since, no E.Ryu). These $20 - $30 price tags on DLC is BOGUS!!!! I will not be buying anymore DLC, or costumes, or any new game from Capcom anymore unless the game is on sale for LESS THAN $20! Because apparently Capcom forgot how to treat their player base and rushed out an UNFINISHED product. And why? Because EVO and more money. That's why!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME UNLESS YOU GET A GREAT DEAL ON IT!

If I could refund my money I would...

Edit: $114.94 for the characters + Stages + costumes... DO NOT BUY THIS GAME

Edit2: Wow haven't played in a long time and the netcode is STILL ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GARBAGE. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. The netcode is still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage. I preordered this game for $60 and I still have nothing to show for it. No acommedation for preorder their broken game. Not even a free season or two. I see we sell the base game for $20 EVEN THOUGH I PAID $60. This is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke.

Edit3: So they add advertisments and yet they still can't fix their netcode. Do I seriously need to add more? Game feel solid, the netcode however and these ads with this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pitiful amount of FM just make the game unbareable. Fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game Capcuck

Edit 4: Better but the game is full of toxic losers who, if they even win once think they're Diego himself and must now tarnish both you and your name and your families name and being just absolute jerks. Hate this community it's legit the worst.

So I bought this game thinking it would look great and would blow me away with its visuals and new player models. Boy was I mistaken! So I booted up the game and I get to see all those old logos which was nice little bit of nostalgia but then the main menu shows up, and it's a book that opens up, everytime you launch the game. So you have to wait just a little but longer to even get into the menus/game. It's just tedious watching this damn book open everytime, just take me to the main menu please!

Now the game looks a bit better to be honest. But it lacks the feeling of even being Fable at all. The characters all look weird now and don't have that charm they had from the previous version. All these old animations being used on newer looking models makes everyone just look awkward. But then there's you. You look like a train wreck! Someone ran over the heros face and now he looks like this weird, being of some sort that doesn't even look like he belongs in Fable. I couldn't get past it either. The Hero and The Guild Master just throw me off.

Now the menus are just awful to navigate. It used to be you pressed pause and it would take you to a little menu that you could easily navigate through. It was simple and easy to get around in. Maybe a bit clunky but I had no problems with it. These new menus are trying to look all fancy and "current gen" but they somehow managed to make it complicated to figure out what's where. I got into my inventory and I was just so confused I couldn't tell what I was doing, and all I wanted was to equip my new weapon. Everything about this remaster of the classic is just too much if you ask me.

The combat felt alright. I had no issues and infact felt like they had improved the AI some. Gameplay and all felt the same though and really felt alright. I was able to easily move around and do the side quests without any trouble.

Don't take my review the wrong way it might not be all that bad but the visuals drove me away from this remake. Everything abouts new style really threw me off and not because I'm some nostalgia freak, but because it feels extremely unnatural, you can tell the quality in the cutscenes are lacking and the audio quality is a bit off (You can hear it clear as day if you compared the games) I don't recommend this game but instead, recommend you play the older one (Lost Chapters). However each is to their own so if this is the one you prefer then have at it! But I highly recommend you play the original!

This game ROCKS! If anyone has ever played Monster Truck Madness on the N64 with 4 players, then this is that game, times 100! This is a game you cannot NOT play.
