I can't in good conscious recommend a $35 game, which only goes on sale to $31, when it requires mods to be enjoyable. Not only that but with the recent editions of DLC to get the full game plus DLC costs $100. Thats insane considering most people don't play the game vanilla past the 50-100 hour mark. Is the game good? Yes*. If you don't mind having to deal with an """""emotional story telling generator""""" while trying to play your colony sim****. There is a bit of an identity crisis with those who play the game for the game and enjoy the colony sim meaning they're going to be, selling organs, breeding cat girls(don't ask), committing war crimes, and over all min/maxxing and what Tynan wants which is a story telling generator. My honest suggestion is buy another game(or two or three) with the 35 you would spend on Rimworld and get more fun and hours out of that then modding a 7/10 game into a 9/10 game. And if for some god forsaken reason you want to buy the DLC like I did then you could spend that $100 on multiple games which can have more engaging game play or ones that actually focus on a story and still have enough left over for a pizza and soda.

Game servers are back and players are back. The game is very good with unique factions and only some balance/bugs. But the devs are dedicated to working on the game and very dedicated to ensuring its NOT pay to win. So dedicated that you can get an unlimited amount of every card for FREE(without colour or animations so you still have something to work towards) so there is zero way to get an advantage if you spend money. If you like TCG then infinity wars is something I strongly recommend you try and since the community is so small(for now) so if you join the discord you can talk to vets and new players to get your bearings and try new things. Overall 8.5/10 very fun.
