Repetitive, gets boring quite fast, totally bland characters. Oh, wait - they're not bland, they're annoying: an inquisitor that looks like a teenage goth girl, space marine reminding me of a Warcraft's peasant and a tech priest who looks like an adorned mop and an always angry sector leader - all of them one-dimensional, kinda cartoony with huge overcaffeinated eyes - in a 'grim and dark world' I remind ya. I am a huge WH40k fan, but this? Just no.

Got it as a part of the Season pass, finished my first playthrough - yes, this is not the best Frostpunk DLC of all, but it is still Frostpunk, a great idea, good story. However, choices in this part do not seem so meaningful and consequence-heavy as in previous ones. Playing on normal looked easier than in other DLCs too - I never felt endangered of failing the scenario, hope and discontent were easily managebale.
For me, the best review on 'On the edge' would be 'neutral', but since I love Frostpunk as a whole, I am giving it a thumbs up. It is not great, but not as awful as some reviews claim it to be.

A fun game with unexpected depth. If you are not sure if it's worth it - try the demo.
Keep in mind though - it requires a lot of time before you feel your team has grown strong and according to your demand, you start with a lot of mediocre players (they are amateurs after all).
Requires a lot of thought, planning and digging into rules - fun, fun, fun!
