Best indie game in recent times, it resembles a game and has a good story that doesn't have "Oh no, my sister is a lesbian", it's not a walking simulator and it's not pixel crap

I came into this game expecting it to be like any other crappy reboot, and I was pleasently surprised to find that this game was actually pretty good.

Sure it has it's faults but this is a pretty nice game and worth a look

It's pretty much a little part of Half Life 2 that got cut out of the final game and made into a little tech demo for HDR. It's pretty neat and there are many ways you can get this for free

Pretty much the last Final Fantasy game before Square went full Disney with the series. Sure it's overrated as ♥♥♥♥ and sorta introduced the game to a bunch of weeb scrublords, but let's face it, this was before Square focused on ♥♥♥♥ like "TIE IN SONG SUNG BY SOME FAMOUS GIRL!" and stuff like that and just made a game

It's a simple table with physics props and you get to do stuff, that might sound boring, but then again this is a tabletop simulator made for simulating board/card games. So yeah, forget about all those dumb HTML5/Flash clones of tabletop games, this is pretty much what you need for the ultimate board game experience on your PC, best yet it can pretty much run on anything

Starbound is an indie game currently in beta, and I love it. Many consider it a Terraria clone and give it a pass just based onthat, but I feel that this is actually more than just Terraria on steroids and in space. One thing that I loved about this game was the fact that you start out with a flashlight, which is something that most open world mining games like this don't do. This means you always have a lighting source and never have to suffer having no lighting source. Another thing is that this game has a clear goal unlike Terraria and Minecraft which just throw you into a world with no information or backstory. Best of all, when you die, you don't lose your items. I always hated that in Minecraft and Terraria where you would lose the items you were holding when you die. Yeah, sure, it's realistic, but it kills overall reply value when you spend a long time with a backpack full of your gear only to face an unfortunate stupid death, that was one thing that killed Minecraft and Terraria for me, there was nothing worse than making a lot of progress and then losing all that because a dildo monster pushed you into a lava pit. Sure, you had chests but that meant you got blindly lost in the world (God help you if it was the 3d world of minecraft) trying to get from the mining site back to your house, only to starve to death. In Starbound, the penalty for dying is the loss of currency, which means there's nothing holding you back from exploring every nook and cranny of a planet. I highly reccomend Starbound to everyone, preorder it now!

Left 4 Dead 2 is pretty much unplayable the way it's (partially) intended to be played now. First problem, you really have no consent on whether you join a modded or un-modded server, which is an even bigger problem now since official servers for this game are impossible to come across in this day and age. Some times I want to play a fair round of Versus, but I end up on one of those stupid servers where the survivors have too much health and can revive by themselves, then once you finally do find an un-modded server, you're likely to be kicked for some stupid reason, whether it's because you made a little mistake, not playing "absolutely perfect" or some ♥♥♥♥ like that. Some times there doesn't even need to be a reason, you could simply exist and get kicked, because "That spot is reserved for a friend" (Well you could have set it friends only) or because they're too autistic and don't want anyone else on their team, or it could just be some griefer who wants to kick everyone out of the game. It's an even bigger problem now since the community is pretty sparse, it sucks for people getting into the game late since they won't have any way to experience multiplayer because they'll get kicked instantly. I really do wish Valve would get off their asses and fix this issue of "kicking for stupid/no reasons" in an update, but this game is long abandoned now. All we can do is hope that they fix it in the sequel.

It's really depressing to see this happen since the game adds so many new features, but point is pretty much utter moot because you can no longer get a good game out of it anymore, whether it's because you can't play it without being slapped onto a modded server or you'll just end up geting votekicked.

By now, Left 4 Dead 1 is probably the better game, sure barely anyone plays that game and it doesn't really have that many features, but the community is much more relaxed on Left 4 Dead 1 (as in random votekicks barely happen, unless you actually make a really bad mistake), not to mention the Left 4 Dead 1 campaigns are better anyways

Sorta okay roguelike, but Nethack is a much better game and it's free.

Still, if you want something newer and more comedic, go ahead, it's fun.

Once GMod was a free mod, but for whatever reason, the creator decided to make it 10bux for no real good reason. People usually say "Just buy it", but then there's the fact that you end up paying much more just to get it towards a state worth messing around in (since you need Half Life 2, which costs money, Counter Strike: Source is mandatory, and also costs money, also Episode 2, which costs money), so you end up spending about 30 dollars or more for this game.

Gmod is a game made by a sperglord, for sperglords, and pretty much held together by sperglords and children at this point. You're really only playing this game because
a) You have some form of autism and are experienced at wiremod
b) You have aspergers and make/want to attempt making machinima, and don't want to use SFM
c) You just want fun and you play TTT or elevator or something.

It has a pretty big community, and when I mean community I mean a collection of easily trolled and angered sperglords and children who will get angry over anything, basically it's the minecraft community before the minecraft community.

What about multiplayer? Okay, what do you want to play? Sandbox? Don't bother, it's full of grieving children and a bunch of people who can out perform you, basically it's just a contest of "Who's the most autistic person here and can create a NASA super computer in wiremod?". What about Zombie mod? The servers are laggy and over crowded. Elevator? Hey that's a good mod, you know, you get to stand in an elevator and screw around until you get to the roof when the fun actually starts happening. TTT? Was Best game mode, but there's lots of children and dumbies now, and honestly it might as well be it's own game. Theater? That's basically "Synchtube but in a game! Wow!". What about all the other game modes you can get? Well, no one really plays those other than children

Over all, buy Gmod for screwing around in singleplayer or something.
