After finishing the main game and some of the post-game content, I wanted to update my review:

The atmosphere and combat system are what kept me coming back, even though the story is pretty weak.

The game is definitely worth your time as long as you accept some of it's quirks.

I really wanted to like this game, but after getting screwed by the save system a few times I just can't play it anymore.
