Free on their official github and only $4 when it first released, it's definitely worth bang for buck. Does what it says and glad I could support the devs.

The game is a cute, shopkeeper merchant dungeon crawling fiasco. Unforgiving at times but forgiving enough to challenge you. The animations are amazingly smooth thanks to Rocio Gutierrez accompanied by solid sound design from Alex Benet. A shame the gameplay gets repetitive too quickly, but it's to be expected with a rogue-lite rougelike (but the grindfest is just unbelievable - you'll be grinding and dying alot, unless you play slow and safe). The soundtrack is beautiful with it's light accents and whimsical compositions by David Fenn, that gives it a nice light-hearted atmosphere regardless if you're in a death defying situation fighting a boss or trying to build up the town.

Some of the weapon varieties leaves something to be desired, as most are the same with only a different skin and different animations but do the same damage, reach the same aoe/length and barely affect the character. The level designs and enemies favour a certain playstyle, resulting in boring laborious dungeon crawling and shopkeeping. And it always surprises me how the same customer can walk in 7 times in one day to buy 7 things - where does these villagers get their money from? It's not a big town, 15 at most (and even if you expand the town, it still stays pretty small with 1 or 2 new npcs - that are also filthy rich). And hardly anyone ever leaves the town with no travelling merchants that come by. So how is it possible they're millionaires!? There is also nothing to do in town. It's a waste of space. It could've been utilised better had there been more life. Rather than having npcs aimlessly wander around making the town look dead, there could've been more meaningful animations to invigorate the environment and ambience.

Putting immersion aside, the game while fun, has a tag not worthy of its price. It's too high thanks to the issues above. Wait for at least a 75% off sale/discount.

Recommended because at least I had fun while it lasted.

However, I'm not recommending on the basis that, Digital Sun lost their own keys to re-sellers whether it be their own fault or 11 bit studios, and revoked my key where I bought it lawfully outside of Steam. A shame. Did I forget to mention they removed my key after playing 45 hours of the game? How scummy can you be?

EDIT:
With Driver Booster 7 Update - It actually works. No more blue screen drivers. Changed from unrecommended to recommended.

ORIGINAL:
I'm sorry but what the ♥♥♥♥.

It bricked my computer giving it the blue screen. Twice. Good thing I could boot back in safe mode to install the downloaded "drivers".

Sadly I was the unfortunate few to have a terrible experience.
Avoid at all costs. Or I could give it another try but for now any prospective users stay away.

After completing a full playthrough in splitscreen coop, I have to say... it's not that bad. Good with a friend.

50% running around in an empty world.
20% backpack managing.
20% talking to npc/doing quests.
10% combat.

It's pretty steep for it's price, considering a lacking of content, rough combat, borderline ok voice acting (where some npcs share the same VA with the exact same lines) and lackluster story.

Almost a return to old RPGs the lack of forced tutorials are great. Even more fun with a friend to play with. The loot, weapons and armor are diverse enough (but lacking aesthetic quality). The survival and crafting system is really good. But the cons outweight the pros.

The downside?
The game is expensive for something lacking content. Requiring polish for a AAA price.
Combat is unrefined. Especially the skill system and "skill-tree training" system.
Story for all the factions are really lame. The final mission for the Heroic Kingdom (1/3 different story lines you could choose from) sucks so much. Anticlimactic and disheartening.
Voice acting is terrible and laughable in some cases.
Did I mention not enough content?

It feels rushed and half baked but good enough to play. There are some graphical issues, bugs and glitches. For instance, playing splitscreen coop: if the second player talks to an NPC and is gifted a skill or a reward, it doesn't go to said player but the first player instead. Always.

A lack of enemy variety and placement. During your travels in the sparse open world, you'll hardly encounter any enemies. Maybe the usual 1-3 bandits twice from the far left to the far right of a map. A few wild animals here and there but they aren't compelling enough to be considered enemies. Bandit camps and forts (dungeons) only have like 1-4 enemies. It's just so... empty.

Character customisation is borderline okay. The hair presets lack graphical fidelity unlike the faces but most faces are big and make you look super duper phat. Like where are the Chad's, Stacy's and Becky's? I don't want scrunched up always old wrinkly squinting faces to represent my avatar.

And some of the UI is stupid. Honestly. A severe lacking of quality of life when buying, selling, storing, and stashing loot. There is no "destroy this trash I don't want in my backpack. I'll have to scatter it all over town where it'll stay there forever". I can't mark junk in my inventory, I can't bulk sell, or reorganise my inventory a certain way.

The buildings themselves are terribly designed. The dungeon puzzles are just as terrible. Why is everything so WIDE AND EMPTY!?

This game has so much potential. The developers had so much ambition but didn't have enough vision to see it through to the very end.

Recommending because at least I still enjoyed it. Looking forward to DLC that actually has a worthwhile storyline/content... if they ever plan to release it.
