Cool we got a snow map. Cool we got a new map at all. But it sucks. it's small and it's missing a lot of stuff. Your not going to find many friendly people or team ups that last or what made the other maps fun here. Your to busy trying to stay alive because 90% of everything is looted or ur dying to something you really can't do anything about and pushing into the map just kills you with it being 4 running zombies or 5 wolves you can't kill because you could not find a gun then no water. What i find the most disappointing is the lack of good areas to explore. with a map being so small you think there would be a few good spots but no. a bunker that everyone and their mom will camp, cool its fun the first 3 times then its run there grab an ak or sks and camp the the land bride there bc all the boats are gone. So all the good pvp is gonna be in that spot that you can run to off a spawn. Any other spot it's all advantage based really. Could say the other maps are like that but those maps had way more going on then a few spots to get okay gear that made the pvp in those spot fun. I think if that land bridge was removed and gave us heil crashes it could help break up everyone going to that one spot. And those shipping containers suck. I hate gas zones but if thats what needed to remove those then I can say i'm up for it. And its not skill. When you spend 3 hours dying to players zombies or some other ♥♥♥♥ because you can't find anything or starve It's not you. Luck is apart of Dayz a big part but luck is only a thing when you get a chance. And skill can't stop a 12 or a slug to the chest off a spawn. The player count is fine but if the map was more broken up and had more say deer stands ect around it would be fine. But its run to this small town that small town the prison camp and to the bunker. You have no reason to go anywhere else bc you know in 30 players the bunker will have a glow plug and gas. Why run up a mountain for 2 small tents or the one military base every noob with a map is gonna run too.I know it's early on but player test when its all streamers that kiss ass half of them ofc their gonna praise it.Many other players should have gotten into the map or a free weekend for everyone. The map is lacking and in due time we all know where we will all go back too. No one will spend 30 cad or what every to run around a small map for a few hours after they see from more videos that its small and has nothing going on. And when the modded maps are better and free. Why would i say 6 months later buys this map unless its on sale for a few bucks. I love the map but its missing so much and its to small for what little is there. And caves. Cool a cave with nothing in it.
After the last update it's still the same. Just skip this trash till they fix it. You will have a way better time playing modded. And for the nerds saying their a small team and what ever look at how many people dislike the map. If it was great and whatever you think it is, its clearly not to the rest of the player base. Battle eye is trash the map is a rip from arma 3 and has almost nothing worth while added to it that makes it stand on its own legs. They did the same thing with livonia. So you think they would have learned from that but clearly not. And the whole new system on cold ect is not even anything big. cool they added it but its nothing worth showing off and saying oh look how in depth this cold system is. Nobody is playing Dayz for that. The map needs alot of reworking and to be fair the whole moving the spawn points more down did nothing. Ill still get to the best gear in the game in no time and ill still sit in one spot for 90% of my game play on the map bc why go anywhere else. There is nothing worth while anywhere on the map ect for that one spot. why get and sks when i can get an ak.

its cool. but buggy. And this early access bs is not an excuse to push out a half done game. its getting old.

as much as i love dayz. cheaters are just too big of a problem. hours of work to be blasted though walls in the bunker 2 times over. And you can't report them or find out who it was.

we beat sony this time.

2024 and the game is fully gone. no word from the devs since 2023 its now 2024 going to 25. Being worked on since 2016 when i payed for the game now left for dead. I really do wish steam would full refund everyone on steam to freak out the devs into saying something. The game is great like if it had mod support we would be set but nothing. They built such a great game to only kill it. Do not buy
