DO NOT TRUST THIS GAME'S SAVE SYSTEM

All it takes is one crash and your save is PERMANENTLY CORRUPTED

Over a hundred hours in this game wiped because of a shoddy update, no game should have a save system with absolutely no redundancies, especially one where you have to spend dozens to hundreds of hours grinding to progress.

Not someone who posts reviews usually, but I felt like this one deserved it

GAMEPLAY: Very tough to get a handle of first. This isn't as arcade-y as it seems judging from the graphics. The cars all have individual weight distributions, characteristics and drivetrains making them all incredibly unique in the feel that they have. Cars are weighty and have significant inertia, it isn't as simple as just turning and braking but keeping a balance between the inertia of the car, the grip of the surface and tires. Once you get a feel for how the cars drive, it is a very satisfying experience


SOUND: As for sound, from the sound of the cars to the squealing of the brakes to the crowds you're moving past. Just the soundtrack alone is great to hear on it's own. Each car's note fitting the aspiration and the engine configuration that they would have had during the time for the most part.

GRAPHICS: The graphics are very simple but pleasant on the eyes, at least for me. It is hyper stylized in it's presentation but it has a very simplistic beauty that I personally really enjoy, it is one of those instant love it or hate it sort of styles in my opinion. But for what it is, it's going to age very well.

So you might be wondering why I don't recommend this game at all from my perspective? It's one simple reason, the thing doesn't work. After trying to troubleshoot and mess around with various settings, the game either hard crashes or hard crashes my computer, despite having the specs for it, and otherwise running smoothly. I really hope Funselektor can fix this issue because otherwise I would give it glowing praise, I just can't recommend it as is though with how unstable it is on my rig.

Otherwise the actual game itself is great, as someone who is a fan of the sport it's nice to see the very different "Eras" of the sport lovingly represented in the cars that they show, although not licensed each one is easily recognizable as an iconic part of the sport. The gameplay and sound are also lovingly tuned in to the vision this studio had for the game. I Just wished the thing worked on my PC
