The game is good, basically the best realistic arcade shooter with a good amount of customization.
It's not ARMA, it's not COD, it's a good mix in between. Fast paced but does not leave realism behind.

I won't go in depth, with 160 hours it's clear I love the game, however I have some BAD things to say about the game:

CONS:

The character movement is only 95% what it could be, those other 5% are cases where you want to jump a window on climb a ledge but it takes 2 seconds for the command to appear - Cases in which you can't walk forward or backwards due to some very small step in your way in which you get stuck. It's quite annoying. - The character interaction with the map and terrain isn't the most polished behavior you'd expect to see in a game like this, but it's not that bad, hardly noticeable for anyone who isn't an addicted tryhard.

The weapon damage is ALMOST perfect, but some things don't make any sense, such as same caliber rifles taking different amount of shots to the chest to kill, despite the barrel length being quite similar.

And the WORST, most egregious offence is that there's no point in wearing armor in this game, bulletproof vests are not worth it, they help to endure a single shot more from some calibers and increase your survivability against grenades but that's it. Which is OK. What is not OK is the fact that NO ARMOR is overpowered in comparison, making wearing armor useless, it takes two shots of 7.62x51 to the chest for the character to collapse which is ridiculous, it should be one shot one kill, and wearing heavy armor only helps to endure one more shot of that caliber, that is, you take 3 shots and die, which is absurd seeing full auto on most weapons spit that amount of rounds in a single second.

The respawn times suck a lot on Push if you're not a PRO at the game. It's absolutely normal for you to play the game for 30 seconds, die and then spend 30 seconds to one minute waiting to respawn again. If you're new, you might spend more time watching other people playing than actually playing the game. But it's not that bad.

That's it I guess, the only three bad things I see in the game.

Superior to Dark Souls in terms of unfairness. It's full of cheaply designed one hit kills that makes you feel like your character is made out of paper.

To put it into perspective, Dark Souls feels like a dance with the enemy whereas this feels like playing tag, though when you're it, you're dead.

It's extremely repetitive as well, you'll probably meet all the enemy models on 50ish hours of gameplay. The scenarios are all the same, same design, same ambience, same everything apart from enemy placement and routes. Not only that but the amount of weapons availiable is very limited. The only variation are the stats and visuals, animations and behavior remain the same of each type of weapon throughout the game.

I don't remeber getting angry like this since Dark Souls.

Update:

Please fix the invisible walls, they're very annoying and there's lots of them. In Marrakesh the guards can spot bodies through the school's right corridor wall (if you're facing the entrance), the stairs where the school principal is writing his book, the dumpster spot at the guard checkpoint with stairs, etc. The map is full of spots NPCs can see through, please fix.

These are just some random observations and nitpicks about the game that I feel not a lot of people put in their reviews, if you want a complex and "thought provoking" review, I sugest to look for the other thousand reviews available everywhere.

+Archers are a lot less annoying/OP in this game compared to The Witcher 2

+Finally able to wear real plate armor with realistic design

-Signs feel weak and most even feel useless, even upgrading them feel useless, at higher dificulties, even if you, like me, spend the entire game upgrading Quen and putting Glyphs on armor to make it more powerful, it will still break in 1 hit from basically every enemy. A lot of mods try to fix this however.

-Forced romances makes this feel like a dating sim, it's chill and all, doesn't happen too often but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ there should be a option to opt out of it. It's especially annoying if you played the previous games. Unless, that is, you really want to bang everyone.

-Bosses with one hit kill moves and unskipabble cutscenes are just cheap design which ruin the game, not even Dark Souls does that (apart from the Ancient Dragon in DS2). Happens only once though, so it's not that bad.

A good RE4 "spin off"

The mechanics feels just as clunky and retarded, it'll have you cringing at the game with every death.

+ good multiplayer
+ good visuals/graphics/lighting all that good stuff
+ tons of ui and interface options such as hide and show elements, opacity and in-screen gun placement
+ music be good
+ good combat pacing although could be faster and frenzier, personally I tried to fix it with in-game abilities such as Savagery, Seek and Destroy and Blood Fueled runes which change the overall speed of combat.
+ due to the above I have to give it another plus to the level of customization this game offers, such abilities to change your gameplay style on the fly, not only with runes but weapon mods as well.

- halo suit
- typical tripple A inventory+codex+unecessary system upgrade to give you a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ feeling of progression game menu
- "wowwee let's break the game flow by adding meaningful secrets which you don't want to lose but don't want to pass either, and it's pretty well hidden"
- no doomguy sfx


+- story was never doom's strong suit so it's chill it sucks I guess
