It is what a sequel in a series as old as Tropico should be. It adds new content but more importantly focuses on polishing and improving old mechanics. It manages to keep the same feeling as older games in the series but with more depth.

The production and quality of the game is great, with myself having no issues even in sessions as long as 5 hours. The writing of the characters is wonderful and will get a chuckle out of almost anyone.

Overall I give it 10/10 suppressed human rights.

The first game was incredible for when you wanted to scratch that logistical itch.

The sequel is leagues better. It is an improvement on the first game in every way:
Graphics
Interface
New Content
Quality-of-Life

On top of the many major changes (such as configurable stations) are just little details that make you realize what a well made game is again. Such as the stations having signs that have their name, or the ambient animals that wander around. In a game about moving things from point A to B, it adds a lot that wasn't needed but is appreciated none the less.

Would fully recommend.

Early Access Review
This game is actually the best city builder on the market. The sheer amount of depth it has is insane, I've played at this point several dozen hours and I just discovered the glory of boats.

It is a resource management game, it is a factory builder, it is a transport game, it is a business tycoon game, and above all else it is just a fantastic city builder. I am worried for the day the game gets a full release and some poor soul has to type out ALL the features.

This game gives you the same vibes as this scenario would:

You go on a vacation to the Rocky Mountains, the year is 1993. It's snowing really hard outside and you are walking down a path in a small mountain village. You see a single light on up ahead and notice that it is the local coffee shop. You walk in and hear the sounds of people telling stories to one another and laughing. You sit down at a table and an extremely cute twenty-something walks up and asks what you would like. You order your coffee and she gives you a grin, inexplicably warming your insides, and says, "That's what I always order." She turns around and walks back to the counter. You sit there, listening to the conversation next to you, for a few minutes before she comes back. When she hands you your coffee she grins again before saying, "I get off in just a few minutes if you want to enjoy a cup of coffee with me?" She blinked, her face turning pink with embarrassement, "Sorry for bothering you, it's just, you look like you're not from around here." You smile back at her and invite her to have coffee with you after she gets off, and you two sit there for hours talking, telling eachother about yourselves.

After a month of vacation you start to pack your bags. Your ski gear wasn't even unpacked, and you remember spending every day of your vacation in that coffee shop, talking to the girl. You fold a pair of pants and put it in your luggage when a knock comes on the door. There she is, the coffee girl, the girl you know so much about, standing there with a blue barratte and a scarlet scarf. She asks you to stay with her, and all the color flushes from your face. This is the happiest, most warm moment of your life.

That's what Stardew Valley is. 10/10 Would recommend.

I have a true story: My family moved to a new house and we wouldn't be getting internet up for a week... and well I was a teenager with ya know, raging hormones. Well this game's CD had a pin up girl on it and.... I was desperate.... you can infer the rest. This game took my virginity.

Space, the final frontier. These are the voyag-

Oops, not a Star Trek game. It is as close as we'll get to a proper Star Trek strategy, and mods already make it the best Star Trek game on the market! If you like Star Trek, get this.

The base game is amazing too, easily worth the price by tenfold.

Even in its base form, this game is already great! Far better presentation of information than Hearts of Iron III, and much more playable. Not only will the vanilla game improve, but so will the HIGHLY supported mods that exist for the game already.

Also, be careful. Once you get hooked on Paradox games, they are like crack-cocaine in terms of addiction. The game had been out for three days and I had 80 hours in it...

This game is tough. Very tough, but every kill is as rewarding as sex. I would suggest picking this game up, even more so if you have a friend to play it with. The coop is also fun, but not easy. Oh boy it is not easy if you are alone...

EDIT: So after nearly 400 hours this was kind of funny to read. "The coop is hard." This game has an insane learning curve: you need reflexes, map knowledge, and just general game sense. The one thing that keeps me playing this game though is just the desire to get better, I basically think Rainbow all the time now. Watching a movie? Calls character Ash. Playing Skyrim? Pretends to be Blackbeard with a shield.

This game is wonderful, but it is not easy to get into. It will take a while to become even competent.

EDIT: So I'm now at about 800 hours and still love the game to death. It's a competitive game, I complain when I die. I also have a recurring issue that results in crashing and disconnects. And even DESPITE all these things that make me so angry I still end up playing the game everyday. I love Siege and hope anyone looking to buy this game loves it too.
