Just the fix I needed while waiting for the new Viscera Cleanup Detail. Where VCD is lighthearted and downright silly at times, CSC strikes a balance between dark and lighthearted. Kolovsky gains a dark sense of humor that helps lighten some rather somber levels.

Where completing a level in VCD allowed me a great opportunity to walk away and come back later, the narrative arc through the levels in CSC made it hard to stop. I wanted to see what happened in the next level and ultimately where the story would take us.

I have a love/hate relationship with the ending. I love how it's ultimately unresolved, even while it pains me there isn't a neater wrap up. It highlights the situation and the predicament Kolosvsky finds himself in and how there aren't any good choices left.

CSC takes many aspects of VCD and upgrades them to provide more options and obstacles. The sponges and power washer are a welcome addition to the mop, even as I sighed at myself every level for breaking something because I was being too heavy-handed with my tools. The UV light was my best friend that I dragged along behind me where ever I went.

These changes do take some getting used to if you're familiar with VCD, but thankfully there are similar keybindings so it only feels off until you get the hang of the mop not being all-powerful.

Absolutely love it! I hope there's more to come in the future.

This was the absolute last game where I would have expected it, but this game feels like Fable. More II or III than the original Fable, but the feel is there. There's not much I can point out as a one-to-one of why they feel the same, but this is the game I would give to someone I wanted to share Fable with, but they would be uncomfortable with some of the more adult content in Fable.

The Room of Requirement has similar design features to decorating houses in Fable. There's no fishing, but there's still diving for treasures. There's no real estate management, but there's creature breeding, There's no Chicken Kickin', but there is Summoner's Court.

It's hard to express how thoroughly this feels like a spiritual successor to Fable and how aspects like gear and items feel the same, but if they were from the game after Fable III (Yes, I'm willfully ignoring the existence of Journeys and no you can't make me believe that's Fable 4).

I feel like I'm just missing my puppy to point out piles of dirt, emote spamming "A-ha!" at NPCs, and someone asking me why I'm called Chicken-Chaser. I won't be surprised if there's some corner of the game where I can place bets on chicken racing though. Although, I don't think the game is going to let me kill Natty in an arena and have her brother come after me, and while I don't think my blind sister is going to show and possibly need to be murdered, Anne isn't completely in the clear on those fronts.

This game is leaps and bounds better than the original one to the point that I say we collectively agree to forget the first one exists. The ships are larger, can break them down further, mechanics are more player friendly, and I have yet to have any game breaking bugs. The physics aren't perfect. Cut points along the edges can float despite everything around them being broken. The rope is useful in getting to anything you've left like a minecraft treetop, and the explosives make them easy to deal with.

Definitely remember to clear the warehouse before buying a new ship, that hurt. There is a warning window to remind you, but I clicked through it.

This is far more in the vein of PowerWash Simulator, especially with co-op on the horizon. Sit back, relax, and break some ships.

I've now played this game for xbox, Playstation, and PC. I love it. Easy game for achievement hunters as most you can get on accident or through the main story line.

Even if you don't care about achievements, it's a very zen game to play solo. So zen, it's my go-to game for bad insomnia nights. This game has helped me fall asleep more than Ambien. (For those without sleep problems that's high praise.)

That said, coop can be absolute chaos. Not quite Viscera Cleanup Detail level of shenanigans, but you can get close with the right group of friends.

This game really lets you pick your own pace and with controls it's easy to get the hang of, it's perfect for a wide range of players. Anyone planing to play with a controller will definitely want to dial in their settings before going after the challenges, but getting gold is possible without it. It's just harder than using a mouse.

MASSIVE improvement over the original game. The controls are smoother, you can dismantle the entire ship, and the sorting mini game is a fun little reward after filling up your truck. I highly recommend anyone disappointed with the first game to give this a shot. I can't think of a single problem from the original game that is not only fixed in this one, but improved.

After clearing 100 hours in the game, I haven't had much to do for at least the last 40 hours of gameplay. It's a great game for a repetitive grind. Once you have a feel for it, it's rather easy to go on auto pilot while paying attention to something else. If you need something to keep your hands busy while listening to a lecture, podcast, or binge a TV show then this is the game for you.

It's quick and easy to max out your gear, buildings, and the available skills. So easy in fact that I have over 100 skill points I have nothing to do with and just sitting on over $350,000 as there's nothing left to do with it besides grinding for the millionaire achivement. Achievements are the only reason to play at this point outside of enjoying the simplicity of it.

Like many others, I checked this out after playing Hardship Shipbreaker expecting a similar experience. They're as similar as Sims 4 and Crusader Kings 3. There are a few gameplay features that translate, but that's it. It's good for what it is and has potential with future DLC, but it's best to know what you're getting into.

This is one of my all time favorite games. This game has everything: speed running, reports from snarky co-workers, performance reviews, sarlacc pits, alien research centers, and that sweet, sweet scent of pinesol. Every other game I play, now I imagine what it would be like to play the cleanup detail version. The fact that I can play Shadow Warrior, then clean up Shadow Warrior doesn't help.

Holidays haven't been the same since I found this game. It's just not Christmas unless I'm incinerating dismembered elves, picking up shotgun shells, and cleaning the blood of the walls. And the horror map is perfect for a Halloween slasher flick marathon. Nothing says slasher flick marathon like cleaning up the bodies, destroying evidence, and taking trophies home with you.

I've played 27 hours and I got this game four days ago. I've been told I need to do this thing called sleep, and I might because it's not even funny how many typos I've had to fix already, but I could also just boot the game up again.

Just one more house....
