Leon is back into action, and he's as stylish and cool, as he was 18 years ago.

Terrible port, worst storyline with very predictable plot twist.
Go and play Arkham City.

If you read about the disease from the book it means you get it.

Now, I'll be serious.
Darkest Dungeon is a turn-based 2D Rougelike RPG, made in Lovecraftian setting and greatly transfers atmoshpere of his books with Dungeons & Dragons rules into a game.
It is very dark, unforgiving and always, ALWAYS, requires you to listen, watch and think. What does it mean? As it is turn-based, it means, you have unlimited time to think about your next move and it's consequences. If you compare it to the other games, first one, to come up to your mind will be "Dark Souls". These games share hardcoreness and some sets of rules. Both of them require your attention and severly punish you for your carelessness. Overestimated yourself? Your hero dies or get serious injuries and won't be able to continue his journey. Hero's death here is permanent. You cannot resurrect them. At the beggining of the game it is, of course, tragedy, but at the end, when your heroes at levels 4-6, it becomes a catastrophic disaster to see as your trained, skilled, upgraded character dies from the claw of some big gargoyle.
Unlike any other games, this one introduces interesting mechanic - stress level. Here, your heroes are normal people, who can be scared by monsters in dungeons, and, as the matter of fact, they can mentally break. All this develops a mental connection with your character: you care about him, try to calculate risks. But sometimes, luck is just not on your side. And people will die. This game requires sacrifices, because it is the only way to teach you a lesson from your, at the first sight, tiny mistake. For example, you see square-like dungeon with 9 rooms and the entering in the centre. You complete 8 rooms without any difficulty but the last room remains unexplored, and, of course, you want to explore it. You walk the hallway and see the altar. What could go wrong? As you touch the altar, your heroes teleport into some other dimensions with a huge and scary monster without any ability to escape. This thing wipes out all of your heroes, who were level 4, had very rare artifacts and upgraded skills. And all of this happens because monster CRITed you 2 times, your party gone mad and were unable to respond properly.
So, if you want hardcore experience, like D'n'D, Lovecraft, Rougelike games, this is your choice.

Poor dialogue system, second to none role-play, poor optimization (gtx 1060 and still drops to 25 fps in some places, really?). And paid mods now. Go play New Vegas, it's better in every way.
