This is an issue since MW2019. Every Season they add new weapons that completely break the game, ruin the fun and make players adopt a "if you can't beat them, join them" mentality, which makes matches downgrade to everyone using the same weapons because of how busted they are. Not only that, but they also make you grind for them in the Battle Pass, unless of course you decide to spend your nice little money to get BP Tiers to unlock them earlier than most players, which would make Activision oh-so-happy. So if you're tired of getting killed by overpowered weapons, gotta pay the small indie company or enjoy dying in Multiplayer matches because there's no trading against someone using MW2022's KV Broadside, you either get one-shot instantly or blinded by Incendiary rounds.

I'm not a pro CoD player by any means, but since I've played most CoD titles since 2009 MW2, I trust my judgement that I know when I've died from a mistake (be it aiming or decision-making faults) or when I've died from absolute BS.

Editing the review a bit to point another great asset from MW2 that definitely makes me want to play it even more. Went to play DMZ a little bit, just to have some fun killing bots and doing objectives, while trying to dodge player encounters, but fight them if needed. Literally the first player who tried to fight me was a generic Kortac skin with obvious aimbot. So nice that we have an anti-cheat that definitely works for this free-to-play mode that people obviously won't create alt accounts to keep cheating and ruining the game.

Yeah, the game is not complete yet. Tons of sprites being purely sketches and netcode (apparently) sucks for the time being too. But let's face it... You'll not buy the game for it's base characters. You'll do it because of the accessibility of the character creation tool and the tons of mods people will make for this game. So just buy it and have fun with the custom characters.

Early-Access-Rezension
As someone who bought the Supporter Edition to see this game thrive, I am thoroughly disappointed. As many other reviews have mentioned, the AI is extremely accurate even through walls that it gets to the point where it's just not fun to deal with. If you play solo, you can command your officers to deal with the threats, but then you'll be left with no action; or you can take point and get one-tapped by someone 2 pixels visible off the wall. This, however, can be remedied by mods that change the AI and make the game more bearable.

What CAN'T be changed with mods are the bugs and issues that people found throughout Early Access and are still found in the 1.0 "full" game release. Not only that, but performance is terrible, the game isn't optimized in the slightest. Somehow, it's even worse than previous updates. Yeah, using DX12 can make the game run better for some people, but it has it's own stutter flaws. And let's not forget about all the other content they took from the game, like each map having at least two modes you could play through. I enjoyed 213 Park Homes Barricaded Suspects version, but now all we have is the Raid version, and nothing else.

Unfortunately, in the present state of the game, I can't recommend it. In fact, I got so sad seeing what this game had become that I went to buy SWAT 4 on a certain another store (since I haven't played it before and people had high praises for it). I would only recommend getting Ready or Not on a sale. Speaking of which, as of the time I'm writing this review, it's Steam Winter Sale. And since the game "just" released, the devs probably found it funny to not include this game on the list of games on sale. Which is a shame, since I have friends that were willing to give this game a try despite all its flaws, but wouldn't be able to buy it for full price.

Aside from the "questionable" art style, servers shutting down and story that reads pretty much like a fanfiction, this game is... surprisingly not that bad. I got this on a sale thinking like "I guess I'll get this meme game before they remove it from the store", but now... I took quite a liking to it, not gonna lie. I'll miss seeing people emoting at each other on the Lobby. Even if it's for a short time, I'll enjoy the time in it. And I recommend that you do too. If not for that, at least to keep the singleplayer. It's fun enough for it's price on a sale.

Editing the review since they've now fixed the bug where the Peacemaker and Warlord sets weren't unlocked after purchasing them. Previous review will be kept at the bottom.
The torso armor is not great, in my opinion. Pants are okay if you like Woodland Smear. Gloves are good, since only index and middle fingers are uncovered, but only come in Woodland Smear option. The helmet would be nice if they added more colors and options to remove the visor. But the real reason to buy this set is the M4A1 skin. Personally, I love the worn out camo aesthetic. It's not over-the-top and fits well with the setting. Only problem with it is the current glitch that if you speed reload using the Peacemaker M4A1, the magazine floats stationary in the air. It'll probably get fixed in the upcoming weeks, so not a huge concern.

Previous Review (Negative): While I appreciate them giving us cosmetics that were exclusive to consoles (even though they shouldn't have been in the first place), the current state of things is just ridiculous. My guess is that since they aren't included on the in-game Shop, the game/server doesn't check if you have it or not, it just says that you don't. If this doesn't get fixed by tomorrow morning, I'll heavily consider asking for a refund. Only buy this if you enjoy not receiving products you spent money on.

Imagine crying over a more successful franchise's characters being added to your already niche fighting game, in which the characters are from a VN that hasn't even been officially localized in English yet.

You can act as a gatekeeper all you want among your friends, just try to act as a decent human being with at least one functional brain cell and stop review bombing the game because of your petty hate.

I wouldn't be bothered if they added other Nasuverse characters to a Fate fighting game, so why would you Fate haters keep being so simple-minded? Grow the ♥♥♥♥ up.

For new players: For a free game, you'll get a very decent amount of content and enjoyment. It does have some grinds here and there, but if your objective is to simply finish the game's "story", you should be fine. You might not understand a thing of what's going on but you'll get it with a bit of time. Definitely worth at least a try to see if you'll like its gameplay loop.

For veteran players: If you still think you'll enjoy Warframe, then go for it. It's still a good game with no shortage of content. It still basically works on content islands, but some Warframes and weapons are directly linked to other game modes, which you may or may not enjoy. I really like the game personally, but I just can't see the "magic" it once was. I'll still play Warframe from time to time, when I need a game to dump some time on before moving to something else. So yeah, this is more of an opinion than actually reviewing the current state of the game, but I think it's worth having Warframe on the side whenever you want to play it for a day or two. Your biggest issue might be adapting to the Riven Mods powercreep, but you can still play alright (except if you want to use a trash weapon, then you might wanna get a Riven to make it at least viable to late game content). New updates are still cool though.

One of the games from my childhood. Proof that Counter-Strike can have a not terrible Campaign. Too bad Valve makes more money by selling gacha crates than making games.
