I spent a good deal of time playing this on Origin access when I had it, and saw it on sale on steam, so I picked it up.

I really like this game, and I'd still recommend it.

That said, buyer beware, in campaign mode the armored train is a bigger threat than the zombies (at least on the early maps). I do understand the intention and for the sake of trying to be thorough it's kind of neat.

When it's not neat? It blocks your soldiers.

They just run into it if it happens to be going past and they collide with it. They'll continue to run into it until you notice, or it moves on. I cannot count, and I'm sure there are people on here that will say the same, the number of times I've been mere seconds from stopping that one straggler zombie from getting to my tents in the early stages of the game only to have my rangers blocked by the train. On harder difficulties, if you lose one tent it's game over at that point.

The long and the short of it is that, while I'd still recommend this game because it is fun, the way they AI moves your units around the map without religiously taking advantage of pause, is really awful. Waypoints don't always solve the problem either.
