Easy to pick up, extremely difficult to master, haunting demonic atmosphere.

One of my favorite ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ games I've ever played. The game mechanics are satisfying, fun, and very challenging, but for me, the real highlight of this game is the atmosphere. It's relaxing to feel alone in Receiver's dreamlike, high-rise, cyber-noir world. The quieter parts of the game are serene in a very specific way. If you're looking for solitude and escapism, this game might do it for you.

Also, the story the tapes spell out for you is vague and ominous. It truly feels unreal, like you stepped into some other reality.

The negative stuff: you really will notice that it's an unfinished game. They made it in 7 days, did like one update, and never came back. It suffers from jarring bugs and horrible efficiency. My dedicated gaming PC will still stutter in its texture-less world. There are apparently mods that will fix these issues, but I haven't tried them yet.

tl;dr - buy it if you like to feel alone in another dimension and/or want a serious, unique challenge.

Burnout Paradise is the game Hot Wheels wishes it could make. For me, it lived up to the trailer. I've spent hours and hours playing the game; unlocking all the cars, finding and re-finding all the secrets, generally exploring Paradise City and cruising, or wreaking havoc everywhere. The game really pulls off a very, very awesome style (the soundtrack, the cars, the radio host, the city itself) that no other racing game that I've played matches.

THE BAD:
- This game is 7 years old at this point, which is basically ancient history in the eyes of EA. And that means...

- The console DLC never came to the PC, and it never, ever will, even though I'd buy it in a heartbeat. EA thinks you're a loser for still playing this.

- THERE'S NO WAY TO TURN OFF THE TRAFFIC. This nearly killed any fun I had in this game. There are so, so many areas that are perfect for awesome stunts, huge drifts and pure racing, but you'll never unlock that full potential because some random hatchback or city bus is in the way.

- The AI cheats. Yes, this game is an example where having the fastest car doesn't actually matter, at least in the Marked Man events. The AI can and will always be on your tail.

I listed several dealbreakers above that would have probably deterred me from buying the game originally, but if I actually had to do it all again, I would over and over. Paradise is just too much fun despite its faults.

I can't say anything more than what's already been said. Play this game.

Super Crate Box is a wonderful simple game. It really is the game it tries to be; a fun arcade platformer. I've sunk many hours into it, just wasting time, or trying to get a high score, or getting used to a new controller. Many larger games from many larger comanies fail to create such a rewarding experience.

It's Commander Keen! This is what I grew up on!
This game is why we all love retro pixely stuff today. It's a great platformer.

I loved it!
There's basically no game here, but it's packed with a crazy amount of love and thoughtfullness. It's a 10 minute story that really draws an atmosphere. TFOL also includes Gravity Bone, which is some sort of prequel to this game. Loved them both.

This game is awesome. It's a great platformer with a driving backstory and as much character as you could hope for. I want a Cargo Commander action figure.

As a massive fan of classic Sonic, I still found it hard to get into this game at times. Modern Sonic is incredibly cringe. So cringe. The cutscenes are almost unbearable. THAT SAID, I did have fun playing this game, both classic and modern levels. Not using a gamepad is going to cost you patience, though, as this port was very obviously developed for the 360. Nothing terrible.

Pros:
- Mostly fun.
- Racing Metal Sonic again is pretty sweet.
- It's almost worth the whole game's price to play a new Sky Sanctuary.
- You're able to choose what song you want to play for which level <-- Best Feature Award

Cons:
- All dialogue.
- All voice acting.
- All cutscenes.
- Buggy.
- ♥♥♥♥ physics. Classic Sonic games were fun because it was challenging to master the tough-as-nuts physics <-- Worst Feature Award
- It still ain't no Sonic 3.

Buy this game when it's on sale if you love old Sonic games.
