I ♥ Peeing

Repetitive and boring gameplay loop that doesn't improve, jump and shoot jump and shoot, and then timed logic puzzles. Unrealisty and "woah" moments are very few and far in between. The game falls off about the halfway point, They changed a lot but it's still the same game, it's very much a five dollar game, worth an evening play, but more irritating than enjoyable.

A collection of mid gameplay seamlessly integrated into each other.
Easy to lose time in, immersive? Addictive?
Pros : Cute, ton of "bar goes up" etc dopamine hits.
Cons : Combat, Progression is hinged on waiting for "bar goes up" moments.
Combat is one of the weakest points.
Majority of the boss fights/refights are just "oh you hit me 5 times time to dissapear and spawn a bunch of dudes to kill" over and over and over.
Attacks that give you iframes either don't work, or don't give iframes, or ??? because sometimes your heavy attack will win over things and sometimes you'll take damage.
No information on weapons besides +/- attack/speed.
No choices on which weapon/upgrade to use besides luck of the drop.
Inconsistent visual language between modes and reused assets for traps can make for confusing gameplay.
Fun ran out around the 6 hour mark, now it's more of a frustrating "I need to complete this on principle" thing than a fun use of time.

Comfy game.

Rail guns + rocket jumps. Buy this game.

With the "quest to progress to unlock characters" thing they've added, the New Player Experience has gotten a bit better. I'm still bad.

Game is good, but everyone who plays it is better than me, there's no casual players, everyone's incredible. Hard to get into at this point with only 5 of the characters available.

I can't believe Chells only canonical words are "I'm sad Wheatly play Despacito"

1 in 3 matches are against an afk farmer, which makes sense because everything is locked behind a grind for bloodpoints -after- buying the dlc so it forces you to play the game in order to get the loadout you want so you can play the game with everything.
when the game is fun it's -very- fun, having engaging gameplay with people who also want to actually play the game, but the setup costs you your time and sanity if you let the heavily toxic playerbase get to you.
This combined with the developer's completely wild stance on balance and gaslighting of the community over the past 7 years makes this a really hard sell even though I've gotten "my money's worth" out of it and the DLC / hours played, but when 1/3rd of those hours (54/162 as of this time of writing) are against afk farmers, it's far less enjoyable.
The best time to start playing this game was years ago.

Yeah it sucks, but it's on steam, which makes it suck less.

Worth five bucks and no more.

Destroyed the community for 2 months worth of gameplay. Hackers frequent the game with day 1 original dark souls exploits even with the "Improved the security against cheating during online multiplayer." of patch 1.03. None of the bad issues with the game were fixed and the legitimately skill testing "bugs" (dead angles, ghost strikes, etc) were removed. It was fun playing ds again with a large community, but it wasn't taken care of and died.
