Barotrauma is in its current state definitely needs work and further development, but has come a very long way from its start. The developers are doing a excellent job keeping in touch with the community, and updating the game at decent consistency. Barotrauma's game modes have been amazing to see and experience.

The game focuses on the cooperative experience with the players filling the various roles needed on the sub (The captain, engineer, security officer, medical director, etc.) These roles have different talents that help them fill their roles, for example, the captain can go down a talent tree that rewards the crew of the submarine for staying alive, giving them stat and health bonuses. These roles could, if your group is interested in that sort of thing, be roleplaye'd out (The captain guiding the crew, medical officer healing and performing medical check ups on the crew after they return from expeditions, etc.), but roleplay is far from vital to enjoy the game.

While there isn't much variety, currently atleast, in the available missions that the crew can take on, every mission feels different, and can be quite interesting to take on. With the world being randomly generated, no playthrough feels the same, not only because of the different map layout, but because of different people in different roles on the sub. For example, I played with a friend of mine who had not a lot of experience captaining the submarine, so it was fun teaching him the ropes, and dealing with his mistakes piloting the sub.

Barotrauma has and will continue to give me and those I play with amazing memories and experiences, and I absolutely recommend getting this (Assuming you have a friend group to play with.) I'm excited to continue playing and watching the development of this game, a bright future ahead for this game.

In 7 Days to Die's current state, I simply can not recommend this game honestly. The developers have seemed to have put their focus in all of the wrong places in their development.

The game tends to get stale after the first couple of hours of play, forcing you to grind for hours, just to get a slightly better set of equipment. The enemies you fight against simply do not scale to what you have for the most part, and even if they did, could be looped near endlessly.

7 Days to Die focus to much on adding content, but not improving what they have already creating, resulting in consistently mediocre content, but with nothing consistently standing out as good.

Factorio is an amazing game about improving the ground work that you have created, not only at the start of your game, but across saves. Learning how to more efficiently create the items you need for survival and your eventual escape.

Factorio challenges you to not just call something "good" and move on from it, but to come back with better equipment and technology and make it better.

Overall Factorio is an amazing game, with infinite replayability not only in vanilla, but with mods ranging from quality of life to total overhauls.
