Took me 7 hours to beat, longer than I anticipated for the price. Good level design, nice variety of enemies and fun weapons. All that in a custom engine! This game doesn't take itself seriously but is good nonetheless, which is kind of refreshing nowadays.

May the 13th 2016, I was so hyped to finally play DOOM with 3D models and modern graphic. At the time I didn't really care about DOOM 3 and I didn't consider it a "real" doom game (now I find DOOM 3 different but good). I didn't have a PC powerful enough so I got it for Xbox at the time.

At first I was so disapointed. For what felt like half the game I was killing imps and Hell knights and that's it. After that Barons, revenants, mancubus and cacodemons came along. It was better, but still It didn't have enough demons. Something was missing. The re-appearance of quake-like soother with DOOM 2016 didn't stoke me as the big thing because I was constantly playing the OG DOOM and "boomer shooter" and I wasn't really awared of the state of modern FPS at the time.

After a while DOOM 2016 finally clicked with me and found myself enjoying it quite a lot. I still wished there was more demons but I wasn't playing it especially for the combat but more because it was a badass shooter with a lot of gore and metal music playing while slaying. It was great for the ambiance and design, but when I was craving a top notch game gameplay wise, this was not my first pick.

So DOOM Eternal came out and to be honest, I don't see many reasons to re-play 2016. I, personally, find Eternal better in every way than 2016 (Cacodemons everywhere again!). But 2016 still has the dark ambiance that fits well with the game but I'm glad Eternal didn't do the same. Now If I want good graphic and top notch gameplay in the same game, DOOM Eternal is the answer. But that's not to say that 2016 is obsolete, If you want to spam the super shotgun and turn your brain off while slaying demons and feeling like a badass this is your game. And it's great the way it is. You can still have a lot of fun. It's not a perfect game by any mean, but a very fun one.

It's a great remake of one of my favorite game. If you want to start Half-Life all over again give this a try!

DOOM Eternal did to DOOM 2016 exactly what DOOM II did to DOOM I, it improves on every aspect possible while keeping the original a very pleasant experience. The difficulty is well balanced, there is a good little learning curve, the level design is really good, the weapons are fun to use and the enemies are fun to kill. It is better than ever to be doomguy.

Something I find really fun is the Metroid vibe these new DOOM games feel sometime; looking at your map searching for collectibles while making your way through the level. The platforming is also really great. I wasn't so sure about the platforming at first, but it is quite fun and kinda relaxing between two intense fight.

It's pretty much like the main game, but a lot harder. Every monster can respawn, which is a pain in the a** sometime, but you get used to it. You just have to patch the game to version 1.1 and use GZDoom or something else and you're ready to go! (just rename GZDoom to "dosbox" if you want to launch Deathkings of the Dark Citadel via steam)

By far one of the best game I've played. If you have the patience to start an old RPG like this, you will be rewarded. If you keep playing after getting killed by pretty much everything that moves and missing 90% of your hits and moving as fast as a turtle, you will be rewarded. If you keep playing even after searching for a cave that supposed to be north of the city you were in but you can't find it and you have now seven giant birds on your tail, you will be rewarded. When you reach a point where all of this is not an issue anymore, Morrowind will become one of the best game you'll ever played.

You have the liberty to do absolutely everything. You want to fly ? There's a spell for that. Speaking of spell, you want to create your own ? You can. You literally can became a god in this game stats wise, but at this point you will have the urge to start a new game to try something new. This is when the vicious circle comes in and you're stuck with this game forever.

The main storyline if the best I have seen in any similar game. I could go on and on about the main storyline and its lore. It's does not let you numb after completing it like many other Bethesda title. Also, it’s not shoved in your throat. If you want you absolutely can skip it. Both expansion are great, or should I say amazing. In Tribunal you go to Mournhold, (city of light, city of magic!) to deal with some assassins. After that, it goes completelty to another direction. Bloodmoon is a breath of fresh air (no pun intended). You travelled to Solstheim, an island with the climate of the province of Skyrim. In this expansion, you can build a settlement (that will re-appeared in the Dragonborn DLC in Skyrim) and you find yourself in some sort of hunting game of a Daedric prince (some sort of god, if you don’t know what I’m talking about) Anyway it’s really great but even then, only exploring Solstheim is in itself amazing.

Speaking of land, the island of Vvardenfell is one of the best fantasy setting you can dream of. Alien architecture and giant mushroom, you don’t feel at home and it’s completely perfect like this. An hostile yet so beautiful place. This is purely personal, but the original graphic make me feel in a fantasy setting even more.

Of course this review doesn’t cover all of what Morrowind is. If you didn’t play it yet and have time and patience in your hand, then give it a try. It might be one of the best game you’ll ever play. You will find the beginning hard, but something will make you come back to this game and by the time you realize it, you’re going to be addict to this gem.

Oh, I’m not speaking of the mods for this game here. Some mods add parts of Cyrodiil, Skyrim and the rest of Morrowind in the game and much more.

The first DOOM is indeed a must play even in this date! Better than his sequel especially for it's level design!

Duke Nukem 3D is one of the best FPS on the market. Great level design, kick ass weapons, Duke Nukem himself, I can go on forever why this game is amazing.
