Elden Ring is a very good game that not only deserves game of the year but is easily a candidate for game of the decade.

Amazing gameplay, fascinating story, tons to explore, beautiful world, interesting characters.
The open world is gigantic and beautiful. While the graphics aren’t top tier, I still think it’s mostly irrelevant because Elden Ring looks so majestic artistically that it compensates for the lack of visual fidelitely in spades.
The exploration feels great thanks to our trusty spectral steed Torrent, which to my big surprise has pretty fluid controls.
Bosses difficulty is a very controversial and touchy subject, but: I think some bosses do have some “unfair” attacks so to speak, but I personally never felt that it was a problem.
Elden Ring is a heavily combat-focus, and high punishing game. Of course there are story, lore, etc but that's not what people come to Elden Ring for.

I believe this is a game that everyone should own!

This game could be so good...
The idea is great, it's fun to play, but here comes "The Community".
Dead by Daylight has the most toxic community I know. The report system is simply useless. It looks like the developers doing nothing to get rid of toxicity.
The game gets worse with every rank you climb up.
"MMR" is just complete mess in this game.
Unfortunately, DBD is clearly survivor sided when killer is supposed to be the power role, and becomes more survivor sided with every update.

Highly addictive but there are serious gameplay flaws and bugs that the devs take ages to fix...

So..
1. Too few tombs and puzzle sequences along the main story, and all of these sequences are over far too quickly.
2. Too many gunfights and scripted action sequences.
3. Gameplay in no way resembles what makes Tomb Raider games great, and remains instead a generic third person action game.
4. Most areas are not very interesting places to explore.
5. Far too many collectibles, leaving you a little overwhelmed.
6. Skill and upgrade systems are completely redundant/unnecessary.
7. Gunfight after gunfight after gunfight.
But I want to love this game and I will!
