The Farming Sim Fatigue is real. But this game is a massive refresh to the genre, with lovely pixel art to *so* many dialogue lines to magic and mystery. Give it a shot!

Quality game with quality music, give it a shot!

A cute turn-based resource management game that makes me think without needing 5-10 hours for a complete playthrough. I enjoy having a roguelite twist on this genre of strategy game. The sprite art is adorable and a lot of the writing is cheeky. I have had a blast playing it so far!

Pros:
-Worldbuilding is stellar
-Magic system (once you figure it out) is fun to use and unlock over the course of the game
-Combat and cutscenes can be ffw'd for easy grinding or re-doing if you are replaying for achievements
-Investment in the plot - high stakes, some mystery - good stuff

Cons:
-The dialogue can be childish
-Some cases of weird adults hitting on minors (they're 16? are they minors in this universe? are they adults? so far nothing has progressed past comments but it's uncomfy)

Preference:
-Art style may not vibe with some, I enjoy it but some people are turned off by it
-Missable achievements are abundant, but there are tons of save slots, so save often and use a guide if you are concerned

I recommend it to any JRPG fan that wants to play something which doesn't take itself too seriously.

The new map is so detailed in this DLC, it's beautiful and fun to explore. The new characters and weapons are fun too! And it's less than a cup of coffee. GET THE DLC!

This game is pure serotonin. Can take a little bit to get going, but late game runs are 30+ minutes of glorious death and destruction.

The bugs and crashes are super frustrating, and not enough autosave points. This is a decent sim but the crashes need to be reduced for me to recommend it.

This game is fun, but ultimately not sustainable. The devs recommend using controller on pc due to analog trigger input making speed adjustments easier, but don't have a way to use cruise control when doing so. This leads to you holding the right trigger the entire mow - which can be 30 min to 3 hours. This quickly led to pain in my fingers and hands. This is not good game design - PowerWash Sim has a button you can tap for constant spray. That is much better, and there is no reason why it isn't implemented here.

Additionally, the devs seem to only care about sales and profit. They have released paid dlc since the base game came out, but have not delivered on promised content expansions for base game. The controller comment I had above could be easily fixed, but dev presence on their discord is nonexistent. Their known issues list has not been updated since August 2021, this is unacceptable.

I am saddened that I can't recommend this, because it is a fun game, but suffers from poor design and lack of follow-through.

Some of the best writing in a game I've played in awhile. I recommend this to anyone who likes story-based games that require some resource management and thought about your decisions.

A breath of fresh air into the simulation genre - this game is adorable and fun without being too grindy. Plus... cats. It has so many cats.
