Don't let the 'Shrek esc' game logo fool you. This game is excellent. If you remotely liked Grounded then you will love this. It feels like there is always something more to explore and the game never made me feel like I was grinding (until we hit the very end of the current EA content). It was very fun to play co-op and I was surprised each time we realised we could actually visit more and more of the map. The base building works great and the fact that you can move it around the trees is awesome. Also you can flippin' tame and ride the gawd damn creatures! Excited for more content (and hopefully a new store banner/logo so people don't skip over this game!)

But let me ♥♥♥♥♥ for just a second...
Each enemy type is different and forces you to move and shoot in new ways. Love It! Great work! Clap clap!

So it should be no surprise that my only complaint about this game is that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ red shield bastard. The Marauder (and his mutt) have the soul job of being the fun police, here to stop you the player from having fun.

Here is the Marauder's 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ states:
1. "Oh I see you are a smidgen too close ... let me ♥♥♥♥ you up"
2. "Oh I see you are a smidgen too far ... let me ♥♥♥♥ you up"
3. "Oh I see you are in the correct spot ... let me take seven ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years to do something that lets you actually damage me."
Bonus state: "I spawned that cool dog again :upside_down_face:"

To kill this ♥♥♥♥ you need to be EXACTLY "this far" away from him to coax out a 'green' attack. You also need a bunch of ammo for the Super Shotgun and the Balista AND you need the time, space, and health to dodge the ♥♥♥♥ that's running around also trying to kill you. ♥♥♥♥ this enemy.

TL;DR:
This game is all about fast paced (fun) movement, and the Marauder enemy ♥♥♥♥♥ that all up by forcing you to stay in exactly one spot in order to kill him. There are no alternative ways to kill this guy. I don't like this design choice, especially as every other enemy is clearly designed (really well too) around forcing the player to move in new ways.

Update: They removed the kernel level anti-cheat from the campaign so I've updated the review accordingly.
