Like Peggle, but as an RPG Roguelike. Weirdly good.

I played every souls game, and beat most of them many times across many consoles. I beat most of them multiple times before I even had a computer. Dark Souls 1 is one of my favorite games. I beat Bloodborne and its DLC at NG+7. This is not a rant that comes from a dislike or misunderstanding of the souls games.
That said, the bosses two shot you until you find these power ups across the map, which make it so that you can actually fight them. Once you can fight them, all of the poise breaking mechanics you learned throughout Elden Ring become useless, because you'll probably stagger the lighter poise ones once while dual wielding ultra heavy greatswords. Not only does every boss have a ton of poise, damage, and health, they are also all extremely agile, and can destroy your camera with any single movement. If you're not locked on, prepare to spend precious seconds looking for them. Two of the bosses are so big that, when they jumped, it moved my camera while I wasn't locked on, probably due to the same reason a wall will change how the camera faces. In addition to all this, the never ending combos a boss will pull off to get you to mess up once, which will lock you into another combo, have almost no room to respond.
Above all else, above the annoying bosses, above the open world, above the terrible scaling introduced in Elden Ring's endgame, they took a mechanic from Sekiro, and butchered it. The Scadutree Fragments should have been rewards for beating mini bosses and bosses, to give a sense of progression beyond, "Go walk around for a bit and you'll find some." I know that sometimes they're rewards, but the fact remains that the main mode of progression is no longer fighting enemies. Runes/Souls no longer matter, bosses no longer matter. You are an item to be upgraded.
I don't feel discouraged from playing this DLC. I feel encouraged to stop.

Rolling for dialogue checks and the character customization are both horrible.

Dedicated taunt button, chainsword to dodge plasma, dash through dozens of blue horrors, and jump on corpses to explode them.
7/10.

Build houses and cook food, and maybe kill a boss or two. Great to play two player with your girlfriend. A relaxing game.

This is by far the most disgustingly beautiful game I've ever played. I would recommend this game off visuals alone, as the pixel art is to die for. The gameplay can be a little clunky at times, but overall, the game is incredibly fun, if not addicting.

Holy hell I love this game. The customizability for each tech priest you get is insane. I have one that I use to get Cog Points, another that buffs the other priests, and another that uses Heretek tech to revive himself to fight the enemies. definite buy for anyone who loves the Mechanicus in lore.
