Combat is extremely clunky, the premise is interesting, but that is where it ends.

Does not hold up to nostalgia sadly.

A lot of the gameplay revolves around fixing your characters' needs, imagine a yankier sims.

Excellent combo-weaving hack and slash gameplay, decent enemy variety, excellent story, beautiful visuals for a 2014 game and even at current undiscounted price and absolute steal, particularily for the singleplayer.

For a 4x it is far too simple, you will spend most of the game fighting various wildlife, the economy is dull and unit balances are off. The only positive is that you can win the game by completing quests, but this shifts the focus even further to PvE. Buy at extreme discounts only.

Engaging story, amazing music, better weapon balance, improved everything. Enough to keep people busy for M&B II: Bannerlord!

Amazing old school game, I recommend playing it and downloading the remake and play the game in 1920x1080 with a couple of good tweaks.
