This game was a gem to play and I was not expecting the level of detail put into all the puzzles (that some I'm sure players have no found yet) within.
While it started out as a great combat adventure it quickly became a hunt for puzzles to learn more about the story and to open up more paths...
Which quickly turned into my breaking out the notebook, pencils and yes scissors to solve said puzzles. I hadn't done something to this extent in years.
This also turned into me looking up hints online so not to give away the answer but push me in the right direction at times (Its really hard for me to break down and google game answers)
I wont go into spoilers but they weave this game so well that those just looking for a fun zelda like game will enjoy it.. to those who want to deep dive on forums about specific translations and crazy breakdowns will enjoy and everyone in between.

I received this game for being one of the testers but had just finished it recently. I wanted to complete the game and take my time in full before adding my review as well as experience some of it with my community first hand.

First off this game is different then what Thunder Lotus released in the past but their step into this new genre was a great new venture for their team. The things that sticks with their games is the beautiful hand drawn worlds and unique stories. Spiritfarer is a good addition to this list.

This game provides a nice mix of relaxed game play at your speed, platforming and puzzles. A few hidden achievements and some interesting story choices. There's crafting, cooking and exploring. You aren't forced to 100% the game which is a nice touch for those who just want to focus on the story itself. There was incentive to go back to past areas as well.

It seems everyone who plays ends up connecting with different spirits and their stories. There are a few fan favorites and dislikes of course but its interesting to hear everyone's own take. Some spirits feel easier to understand their full story than others. Either way I would have some tissues handy as you play through.

I really adored this game and played it to get lost for a while. I think those who like story based games will really enjoy this. There are a few quality of life updates (one or two bugs were found) but nothing was game breaking and some were kind of funny.

So I requested this game because it just looked beautiful over all. What I wasn't expecting was a wonderful adventure with fun characters. Now if you've played a number of click adventures then these puzzles will be pretty easy. I feel the story, art and characters themselves were what really shined in this game and my viewers enjoyed it as well.
TLDR - Relaxing and fun click adventure story driven game. Fun characters and lovely art. Worth it!

Usually when I say a game was too short it was because I was still waiting for the game to peak or it felt like something was really missing. This is one of those rare times when I just wanted MORE. It was such a pleasant and enjoyable experience I wanted to just keep going.

There is a mystery about the world and the destination that continued to hook me while the art was just wonderful through and through. I like the little details such at the different sounds of being inside the ship vs outside. they could have easily kept the same tone but its those little details that brought this game to life.

I think the puzzles were pretty good and the spacing between them. I just wanted a little more at the end or a little more time to enjoy my accomplishments? I also felt there was an abundance of power so that didn't cause for a challenge at all.

but then I think about it and that would have probably changed what type of game it was and thats its more of a story to enjoy.

In short this was a narrative type game with a bit more puzzlers and interactivity involved. Play this for the experience and story about the tribe and just enjoy the fun activties that go along with the story. I think you really need to know what you're getting into before playing because if you're looking for a hardcore puzzler game this is not for you but that doesn't mean it's not good it's just for a different type of audience.
I really enjoyed the lore the story followed and the different phases of activities you had to go through. I was a little sad that some of the collectables I missed by moving too far or clicking the wrong thing too soon but I can play through again to see what happens if I do collect everything.
I did finish this game in one stream so it may be on the short end for some players but I think for under $10 that's a fair price for the experience you get.

I really enjoyed this game as did my viewers. The story was cute and just enough to make the pick up and play anytime extra enjoyable.

It took me a hot second to figure everything out since it wasn't always explained but I believe that's user error more then a dev issue. Once I figured it all out the gameplay was a good challenge and the mix of randoms and unlocks was a nice touch to keep me going.

It reminded me of an rpg plants vs zombies and Im ok with that. I will really enjoy picking this up and playing it when I get the itch and I love having games like that handy.

I may have not played long enough to know for sure but I think my only concern is how long the game actually is and how many different types of area/levels/enemies there are since I only got through a certain point during my gameplay. I think for now it's just fine :)

TLDR: For a cute and fun pick up and go game I recommend this!
