Isn't much here that's different. For a rework the graphics stayed fairly terrible. 1 major flaw that's pretty much demolished the entire game - reworked license system. Use to be able to just use what ever, unlock everything. Mind you it did take a long time to do, and with each thing you unlock the next becomes more expensive.
But the rework, completely restricts 80% of the license board by sectioning it off into categories which you can only select one atta time to play with.

I'd say no, i would not recommend the "Remaster" for this final fantasy. i would recommend you find a copy for Ps2, then find a ps2. thankfully i still have my original.

Started the journey in a ransacked city known as Bast, east of Orkans Fist, Sister fort to Orkans Shield to the south. I was with my dog, Bones... In a region I do not know the name of.
The place was full of bandits and cannibals, as all the residents were killed or sold into slavery by the holy nation.
As I traversed what appeared to be the most barren chunk of hot earth I'd ever seen, I started to grow weak from hunger.
Dodging bandits and monsters alike, I happened across a holy warrior platoon, they proceeded to chase me down claiming i was a heretic who needed to be purged (I have done nothing, and I am wearing rags)
Came up with a save my ass kind of plan, immediately as soon as they started chasing me, I ran toward a pack of large skimmers, who proceeded to mulch the holy warriors.

After the skimmers left, I looted the holy warriors, for their equipment, food, and medicine. It occurred to be bones wasn't around. I searched the map a bit, found he has been evicerated by some attacker, he was everywhere.
I moved on, trying to get out of this god forsaken desert. I'd arrived at what would later be recognized as the pinnacle in these beginnings. I managed to befriend the holy warriors, through combat.

My goal was to get to a place I called Eden. Almost the entire map away, in the south, a land of green pastures and blue lakes.
On my way I came to a slithering mountain pass full of skimmers, rebel farmers, and other assorted threats.
One thing caught my attention, a band of "United cities" soldiers fighting with holy warriors. I sided with the warriors and we slaughtered the City soldiers. Acquiring myself much better equipment, and some food from skimmers, I'd figured out how to build a fire, and we ate. All of us.

After that, me and my new friends made our collective way up the pass, it was a slog for sure, it took many days to make the slightest progress, with the wounded piling up and medicine dwindling, we pressed on. Arriving at Orkans shield, this is where we parted ways. We'd all found a place to rest and patch our wounds.

I continued south west toward Eden, ever closer. Frequent stops and scattered towns and cities have shown me trading, and how to recognize signs above the doors. It seems holy nation has some pretty expansive borders, I've been to 2 Major cities, Blister Hill and Bad Teeth. According to a bartender inside Bad Teeth, I've been lacking in somthing called "The holy flame" which is a book. A book you require if you wish to be a citizen in their cities. Since apparently good word spreads, they recognized me as the guy who survived the mountains. And the united city guys all died (So nobody spread their tale, and therefore none of them know me. Excellent)

This is excellent because...The holy warriors, as it turns out, are evil, fanatical, religious nut bags who like to starve people....Eden, I'm coming.
