A certified "stayed up all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ night without noticing" game.

As addictive as it is rage-inducing. There is no penalty for cheating or disconnecting, so PLAY AT YOUR OWN PERIL.

Also, never pay more than 10 bucks for the base game, its an absolute rip-off if you do.

Learn some patience and expect to lose a lot. Get some reps in before T8 comes out.

Address the online cheating/plugger problem BAMCO, the next game will be worth full price if that is fixed. It isn't worth it until that happens.

A very thoughtful cherry on top for a fantastic story game.

Pretty tough and far less hand-holding, so experiment a bunch

I enjoy this game a lot, but i am a biased 25 year long fan of the series. Even still I can safely say this game has problems.


---The Good---

- Feels like an updated version of MW2 Mercs for modern systems

- Very fun if you like mech games with a high level of destruction (finally a mech game that encourages me to level a base by plowing through buildings and structures)

-Very easy to mod

-Satisfying sound design (imo)

- Explore the entire map of the Inner Sphere

-Reputation has an effect of available jobs for you and how much you can negotiate for (is a little bare bones, could use a few more features)

-Multi Mission contracts are fun and add a layer of preparedness that encourages you to have many mech options

-Progression is fairly natural and things aren't immediately clear on how to build up to bigger badder mechs.


- Difficullty can ramp up QUICK, so it pays to be prepared

---The Bad---

-Mech customization is a little bare
-Had continuous crashes that didn't stop until hours after i found a work around for it to run with stability

- Less impressive graphically due to the work around i had to employ to get it to run

- I've heard that co-op has problems, but i haven't tried it so I'm not sure

-Voiced dialogue is repetitive and get old pretty damned quickly if you play a lot.

-I feel that negative reputation should, add a chance for factions that hate you to send forces after you on missions (maybe im asking too much, but i think it'd be cool)

- Trouble trying to get Geforce Experience to detect the game to optimised it for my machine.

-The only game i own that makes my computer WORK to run it. Makes the fans run very loudly and thats concerning

Very Yes.

Update: Still Very Yes.

Update Update: Very Very Yes. Buy it while its still $20 its a steal.

The only real problem i had with this game was how long it took to get to steam.

Favorite game from 2019. Worth every penny, truly something special.
