I'm sorry but this just isn't it chief. I know the development for this game has been through hell and back (literally) but you guys needed to just call it quits and release it when it was ready. Having delay after delay painted a really bad outlook for the game. Then the review embargo was lifted very late and if that wasn't enough red flags. The recommended requirements were changed within weeks of launch.

I am one of the lucky ones where I would have considered this game playable if it didn't make me feel sick. The motion blur setting has no affect on gameplay and I'm almost positive depth of field has the same problem. If all upscaling is removed the graphics are extremely crunched and pixelated. With upscaling on it is a blurry mess. Not just the general blur you get from upscalers but extreme blur.

I spent 7 hours between steam and Gamepass and I just can't get a clean image. It doesn't have to be some pixel perfect never before seen fidelity I just want to play the game without needing a bucket to throw up in.

It really hurts because I hate saying this about a team that once again have been through hell and back but the reviews come down to how the product is as a video game and it just wasn't ready.

I'm extremely nervous of games that take inspiration from Manhunt. It's a very hard game to live up to but this game does really well from what the demo has available. I will say the A.I could do with a bit of polish. I also think fresh kills could give more health back (with camera) maybe some weapons cause more blood loss and therefore more points. Like an added bonus on a bladed weapon. Blunt weapons could crush body parts. (yes I'm sane, copium)

Caused a memory leak by duping a guy in the courtyard until single digit frames then blew them up with a landmine. 10/10 would crash my pc again.

Small update: My stance hasn't changed but I'm adding to what is coming. The 1.0 release has been scheduled for Sept. This game is not ready. I'm not playing the blame game. Oh it's the devs rushing it. Oh the publishers are rushing them to get it out. It doesn't matter. The simple fact is the game is not ready for full release and it reinforces my not recommended status. Choose wisely.

Previous review below:
Until Echelon Zones are changed or completely removed I will never recommend this game to anyone. It forces you to play the game in a very specific way that a "Detective" would never do. 4 of my 6 cases after finishing the tutorial were in Echelon Zones, that's a very high probability of cases that I simply can't do without essentially being a criminal.

Imagine you call me saying someone broke into your apartment come over and figure out what happened. Then when I arrive and knock on your door you get mad at me because the area you live in is a restricted zone. My solution is now to either knock you out or break into your apartment when you're not home to figure out who stole from you. Do you realise how stupid that sounds? If I'm going to an Echelon Zone I should be able to get a pass from someone who lives there. Especially when they literally called me asking me to come over. Guest passes are already a thing why aren't they used here?
