As the first game I decided to try in the Touhou series, I think this was a great place to start.

======================================================================
What I really Liked
- Good Looking Graphics, with a good amount of animation
- 19 Waifus Characters to choose from
- Unique Fighting Style with the characters fighting in the sky with the abilility to jump up and down and more projectile-based fighting
- Controls are responsive and work very well
- Godlike music that I would honestly put in a personal playlist if I had one (Night Falls ~ Evening Star being my personal favorite from the soundtrack)
- Even Has an English Patch so I can understand the story in Story Mode,

What I sorta kinda didn't like
- English Patch is pretty good, though as of now, it's still a little incomplete. Nothing terrible, but it's just somthing to take note of. I can completly understand why it's like this way though, and it's just nice it's even there.
- Online wasn't really good from what I got to play, but personally not a deal breaker.
======================================================================

So in conclusion...well it's Touhou, it's a pretty good sign just from that. But it also has it's merits as the fighting style is pretty fun and different, it kept me entertained when I played, and I had an absoulte blast.

Definetly Gets A Reccomendation from me!

I first played de Blob 2 on the Wii many years ago as a kid, and I had a lot of damn fun

Now I buy it on PC many years later, and it's still a lot of damn fun

- The Game Looks Good as Hell. The Colors Pop well (as it should considering it's a game focused on color) and I love how the enviorments starts out really bleak, and just get's more lively the more things you color in. It's a damn neat aesthetic and one I found really cool when I was young, and I still think it's pretty neat.

- The Controls Are pretty decent, I mean I played this game originally on the wii, where you had to flick the controller up to jump if I remember correctly, and I thought that was fine, so the controls can really only get better. It's basically what you would expect, and it's enough to play the game comfortably. You can Jump, Duck, And Move, With Some Extra Moves Like Homing Onto Targets, and pressing the Duck Button In Midair To fall faster, and Even A Wall-Run and A Wall-Jump. The Jumping and Moving Feels Good. The Camera Works Well, and The Other Actions are Good too. The only two problems I had were Running On Walls, as it felt sorta clunky as it felt hard to even jump on the walls as you need to hold jump to stick onto one, and the contols for moving on them felt off, But Other than that, The Controls Work Well enough for the game. Hell they even put unofficial Wii Remote support in the game, and that just put a smile on my face as it's debateably the worst way to play it, but it makes me happy that they put the time in for that, and I'll honestly try it when I feel like screwing around with it.

- The Music, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the music is great. You Start Up the game, get to the title screen, and get this bumpin' ass tune and you know you are in for a good time. While you can choose from a list of tracks for each stage, every stage has a unique track for that level, and while that track will appear later on as an option for another level, I say pick the unique one on the top of the list, they fit each location nicely. Let's Go Over some of my favorites
=================================================================================
(List on favorite songs from de Blob 2 and why the hell it so good)

Paradise Island- This Song Is the one you hear in the First level, and It just fit's the beach setting well, with a calm vibe to it, yet still very catchy

The Colorist Agenda- This one is just pretty calm, but is very catchy, also that damn bass.

Pinked- This Song Is really catchy all things considered, hell theres even a cowbell later on in the song

The Chase- This song sounds like some sort of 70's Surfing music, or somthing simaller.

Paint Party- Another Song with a lot of energy and is catchy....yep everything checks out here

The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Main Theme- Holy hell I finally get to talk about this thing. As the first thing you hear when booting up the game, It's fits well. It starts out with a good amount of energy, and not even a couple seconds later this energy is just built up more and more. It's a very enegetic song with this Electric and Jazz Feel To it, and it's just makes you hyped to play the game, and It's one of my personal Favorite Video game Songs ever, it's just so catchy, and it definetly left a mark on me as a kid.
================================================================================================
I also loves the details with the music that happens during events in the game. If you in a place with no color, a ominous track will play, and whenever you color in somthing, it plays an instrument, and not only does it add in to the song, each color also plays an instrument, For example, Paint Somthing Red and You'll Hear A Saxophone, and it's a detail that I really love.

-I've went through everything but the gameplay and story, so let's talk about it. I'm not a walking wikipedia article so I'll keep it breif. The Main Character's name is Blob, who is a....blob. You are also part of a group called Color Underground, which was set on restoring the city of color after Comrade Black after taking all the color from the city In the First Game.
The game starts out with Blob and His new partner Pinky (who can also be played if you have another person to play with) riding a blimp in the skies, when they get a call from the Groups Leader, The Professor (who also has jetpack pants), that after Comrade Black was defeated from the first game. That he was spotted landing on an island, and the duo land at the islands, to try and find him, but Comrade isn't there. So Blob steps into a cannon and launches himself to the city, and this is basically the beginning of the story. While there still is a lot of more details later on, the basic jist of the story is basically this.

"Evil Dude is giving good succ to the city, as all the color is being sucked out, and it's your job to reverse the succ by painting the enviorment, and to defeat evil comrade"

It's simple, and it works for the game.

Gameplay is pretty simple too. The basics of it is that as Blob, you have the ability to absorb color, and to paint anything you touch. Your job is to repaint the enviorment (Buildings, Trees, etc.) by using 6 colors and the moveset that I talked about earlier. The Game Consists of Doing a handful of missions in a part of the level, completing them, and getting to a big area, in which when completed, you hit a glowing orb, and everything in that part of the level is recolored, then you go to the next part of the level and do the same thing. The game is mainly a platformer with some puzzle elements. The Puzzles are pretty simple but nice, and fit in well. For example you may have to color two buildings with two seperate colors, but you cant touch the top building without touching the bottom, so you gotta get the top buildings color on first, then the bottom buildings color so you don't repaint the bottom building when you have it already painted and accidently overwrite it.

I will admit it can be somewhat repetative, but each area has a different enviorment and different level design, so it's pretty interesting.

You also have a Time Limit and Lives, Basically color the entire area within the time limit and don't lose your lives, You can also collect Timers to increase time and more lives.

I will admit, this is the only thing I had a problem with in the game, as these levels can go on for a very long time, and then happening to die and lose all your lives is pretty frusturating, although it's not as bad as it sounds, as I only lost all my lives once, and I did start back at a checkpoint, but it's still a design desision I think doesn't fit well with the game, because well it's mostly pretty hard to lose all your lives, it's pretty easy to just fall in ink and pop out of existance. I think unlimited lives would of just been a better.

Same goes for the time limit, but it's not as huge of a problem as there are a good amount of clocks, and you get a ton of time, but there were still times I had to hurry up as I felt I wasn't going to make it when checking around for some collectables.

Speaking of, after you finish the last mission in a stage, the time limit is gone and you can explore freely, in which there are three extra missions to do, color every tree, destroy every box, and color all citizens to restore them. These also become a lot easier to do as you compass will put the closest object for each objective on your compass after the last mission is completed, and doing all objects for a category will give you a gold medal. Also Pinky will give you extra missions to collect for Inspiration, which is used to increase abilites. Theres also a ranking system, You can Get S, A, B, or C. S is the best.

I'm running out of characters so i'll wrap this up quick. This game just has a lot of style and charm to it, and while a bit repetitive, It's style with it's color, music. This game is worth the $20, and I Highly Reccomend It.

Never Played the First

But the Sequal was very popular in our 7th grade computer class for some reason, whenever we had free time and one person was playing it, soon evreyone would start playing it and various groups of people would see who can get the farthest in the game

So obviously seeing this on steam, knowing how much fun the 2nd one gave, I gave it a try, and was fun just like I expected
