A frequent and beloved multiplayer choice, as well as an almost zen single player choice. Surviving the chaos is part of the fun.

Slime Rancher 2 is perfect for veterans of the first game and beginners alike. It picks up just like you never stopped, but still coaxes you into the mechanics bit by bit, only lightly holding your hand the whole way. The visuals have been given a shiny new look, and the new slimes add some more complexity to your farming experience. It's only early access as I write this, but thoroughly recommend it to anyone who played the first game, or are looking for a chill farming game and excuse to frantically yell about the poop economy.

A classic rhythm game arrives (again?) on PC! This game is perfect for those who love ramping difficulty, a wide range of music, and the satisfaction of completing challenges and unlocking stuff. Bonus points, if you have the money but no the patience, there is DLC that lets you have all the songs right away, which is appreciated for those who don't have the time to do it themselves.

The visuals of the game are quite cute, and include videos for all of the songs in the background.
The music is predominantly dance music, but does also include a lot of cutesy songs, heavy wubs, and more classically flavored tunes.
The game play is very straightforward: press the button when its corresponding note hits the bar at the bottom. After that, it's up to you and your fingers to keep up.

DJMAX is a solid game for scratching your rhythm gaming itch.

This is a great game unless you get motion sickness.

Slime Rancher is a first person farming game where you capture adorable, blobby slimes in order to harvest their poop and sell it to make your fortunes. There's a ton of exploring, a solid feeling of progression, and enough danger to keep you on your toes. It's very easy to get sucked into hours of tending to your squishy charges and finding all the secrets tucked away in the game.

Don't get it if FPS games make you barfy. I suffer from motion sickness, and some days playing this game makes me incredibly nauseous. Other days, I'm mostly fine.

This is pretty fantastic for those who loved DJMAX. You can swap between the angled phone-friendly display or the top-to-bottom style. The music genres are surprisingly diverse and wonderful. Beware the squirrel party.

We lodged a 6 wheeled vehicle into the skybox and built a pagan shrine to it when it wouldn't come down. Then we did it again. We were rewarded with murder spike balls and a comical death. Absolutely recommend.

The game is fairly cute, but the game itself is an infurating experience. The controls are too loose for a metroidvania game, making narrow dodges difficult at best. The basic, required resources for playing the game scatter whenever an enemy dies, forcing you to chase after them with your sluggish character, even into immediate and unnecessary danger. Everything feels designed against you, even your own weapons. Other annoyances include repetitive music that doesn't actually loop, and poorly streamlined graphics that, while cute, made my computer choke. It may not be the best computer, but a somewhat complex 2D game shouldn't make it panic.

The Binding of Isaac series has been one of my ungodly addictions for years. It embodies the perfect rogue style game, making each and every new start a fresh and horrific experience. With each and every restart, I can't help but look forward to what new tools and strategies I must employ and alter to survive to the end. It is an end that is never satisfying, but never disappointing.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is not only infuriatingly difficult, but enticingly generous with each new game. The potential for an item of immense power promises to the player an experience to remember, assuming another item you picked up previously does not destroy you in the process.

Never touch Bob's Brain unless you have Pyromaniac and avoid the Cursed Eye, a pedestal item. Either will end, not in Isaac's tears, but your own.

Edit: It's almost 2018 and I still adore this game, sans Afterbirth+. <3
