This game absolutely rules.
It's like what I remember it felt like to play MicroProse M1TP but with modern graphics.

GET IT!

It's honestly fun. Simple, easy to play, and ... simple.
But cheap and fun so... Thumb up!

This game represents what we remember we felt when playing old Ultima, GoldBox, or SilverBox CRPG from the 80s and 90s.
It has deep lore, tons of sharply written dialogues, story, and descriptions, many dozen of hours of playtime, the crispest pixel art but without sacrificing modern improvements to the old systems.
Real time Lighting, special effects, WASD controls in addition to the mouse and shortcuts, in-game hyperlink with direct access and on-mouse over tool-tips.
From a size limited indie team comes one of the best incarnation of Neo Classics of RPG.
Truly, there rarely has been such a perfect incapsulation of modern and old-school RPG as valid, comprehensive, dedicated, deep, enjoyable, customizable, and FUN to play CRPG as SKALD.
THREE THUMBS UP OUT OF THREE!

I was born with my Commodore 64 in my hands. But I became a man playing with my 286.
This game encapsulate all the 80s and 90s movies cheesiness and cool-factor that MicroProse and the good old Electronic Arts developed for gamers like me.

Loud explosions, tons of bullets, action, guitar riffs, low poly pixelated action, EVEN AN EGA MODE! What do yuou want more?

This is one of the few real gems coming from the distinct digital bloodline of Prince of Persia, Another World, and Flashback.

Brilliant. Literally perfect. Admittedly I loved Quake 2 even in its original release, back in the day but this... this proves once more that these people know how to properly handle games with respect.
ABSOLUTELY worth it.

The new and Remastered version of Quake is an ABSOLUTE UNIT!
It's perfect: You want pixel - you got pixels! ALL OF THEM.
You want Antialias and texture filtering - YOU GOT THAT TOO!
Motion Blur? YEAH! Rebind the controls, tailor the game to your needs and play all the chapters and expasions!

Think you had enough? THINK AGAIN - you can download (fro minside the game) the Quake 64 version of the Nintendo 64!

Brilliant and perfect - Quake! / 10

This game is born out of sheer love for a very specific genre.
This means that every facet was carefully evaluated, hours were spent thinking about stuff like "Can we modernize this while keeping it true?", the plot was written down entirely beforehand and the lore is deep and thoroughly researched.

While there are supernatural elements the rest is carefully based in real life history when it comes to clothing, trades, cultural classes and so on...

This means that if you loved the old Gold-Box games, the role play games that required moves to be planned accurately, dialogues to be carefully read, and moral choices to be taken personally - this game will speak to you.
There's a lot that this Prologue lay down and that will be relevant in the final game.

NOTE: As a prologue this can be rough at moments, with a few technical bugs but the devs are responsive and their discord channel welcoming and active!
