Amazing, unique game. Fun, chill (for most part), very creative, beautiful visuals and music, great soundtrack.

Fond memories and eager for Broken Reality 2000, 9.5/10 for this genre and price range.

Mixed feelings on this demo. It's too early to tell what will happen from this, though.

It's not BAD. But I'm not seeing much improvement in core gameplay compared to the first game, single-player wise (as multiplayer side isn't in the demo yet).

Controlling the character feels wonkier, less information on the character creation UI, fire and ice spells are not yet available¹, and the only elemental spells are storm/wind. I don't see how this contributes to the game. Also, unless I understood it wrong, some crafting now add temporary boosts instead of permanent boosts in some cases. Just no, please. An addition is ok, but don't change permanent to temporary. Enchanting is still permanent, tho.

Overall, character and NPC models are prettier, buildings are nice (but need to have better scaling to prevent camera clipping). Some traps and jumping places need to be reworked, but nothing outrageous.

A great game with an amazing lot of potential, content is being released frequently so far, about each two months. It doesn't feel like a risky purchase.
Review as of: 0.23.7: currently a 7.75/10 (mostly due to graphics bugs), but could easily turn into a 9.5/10 of the genre in a few months.

It's a diamond in the rough, it has many content and freedom that you can't find in a Sims game, mostly because of driving, walking, working, all while controlling your character instead of pointing where they should go. Sadly it uses Unity engine, so characters feel ugly and maybe they'll be the case forever. I'm personally having a hard time playing for long sessions, motion blur always seems on, LOD distance is too short even on ultra settings, and other graphical weirdness.

There are a few flaws with the current gameplay loop, but it's stuff that can be solved with updates and QOL features. Not to mention there is a new update planned for the next few weeks, and it'll likely flesh out retail, add jobs and such, so it might make for a great addition to gameplay. Plus, developers are present in the discussions, talking about bugs and accepting suggestions, which is nice and healthy for a game in early access.

I wish I could give this a mixed review. But... 3.5/10

Well, I got this game out of nostalgia for Xbox360's Bikini Samuai Squad. However, here it's easy to get stunlocked, many, many things are not properly explained, one of the worst tutorials of all time, you get thrown out too easy and many enemies never flinch. Some bosses are simply sponges, and there isn't a leveling system like in BSS. Everything is expensive, grinding for currency is abyssal, too. Graphics are dated, for me this a charm, but for the price tag, even discounted it'd be nice to think twice.

There are better hack and slash games out there. By the time I saw over 2h, I gave up on trying a refund, gave it another go but it just got worst. Would be a good no-brainer, if it didn't feel so weird and clunky to play, and your character wasn't such a piece of paper.

Recommended? ehh... it's too risky and hasn't improved in core sectors ever since I got it. Not bad, but high risk of you getting the short end. The engine moving from UE4 to UE5 is good IF they manage to bring back all content from UE4 and actually finish the game. For context, the game was being developed in UE4, but it's no longer being developed and instead focus is shifted towards the Unreal Engine 5, and as far as the story tells this will be the main branch.

Character creation is dull and lackluster, pretty much no customization and lacks options (hair styles, mostly), no "sliders" in creation, so no variety. Could learn a thing or two from Dragon's Dogma 2, Fromsoft games, modded Skyrim and so on. Moving is kind of bad, specially jumping, fishing is weird, combat is weird and weapons are unbalanced sometimes.

The change in the scenario and feeling of the world as post-apocaliptic is...dumb! I don't want to run through countless villages and cities with statues, I want to see pixels do sex. UE4/legacy version was much better in that regard. You create a character, there's sex right at the doorstep, pixels depict living beings, not statues... is there even a fetish for this? Eh, better to not search this.

Sex scenes are not bad, but need to improve, specially more animations and camera (which should arrive at the next update). You can't even change your painis size yet, or boobs, or booty. Again, even non-sex focused games let me do that (at least the late 2).

What worries me is the lackluster quests and dialogues that have the player's character speak like a low-double-digit IQ critter (lots of pointless roundabouts), lack of equipent variety (armor, weapons, clothing), specially for males, lack of in-depth character customization and the existance of the patreon as monetization. Patreon-backed sex-games are frequently in a limbo of development far beyond what should be needed. I'll check in now and then and update the review, hopefully changing the recommendation.

It's an Alicesoft game. So you can't go wrong. A solid at least 8.5/10.

Simply put, it's a good, simple, complete RPG with a good side of smut now and then. And I mean simple in the good way, since you can play after a long day without needing to think much, unlike "Tales of" games of recent years. You can play it even if you're not horny, just grind or advance the plot, which is neither stupid to make you facepalm, nor complex to outshine characters, yet it's quite engaging (albeit predictable sometimes). Character interactions are there, it feels cozy, and they're not shallow.

Also, VA is nice, there's plenty of humor and easygoing.

A solid 8/10, potentially a 8.5 or even 9ish when it reaches full release
Okay, so these are the main points and my opnion about them (as of 10.5):

Building mecha: simply amazing and full to the brim with customization options, plenty of armor sets, weapons and accessories (like placing a fin into your shoulders or break, so on). Sadly, it requires some grinding to get armor sets and the game doesn't tell you where each of them drop (but there is a community drop loot)

Tuning up: nice trade offs, could use balancing, though. Will likely be reworked in 11.0.

Combat: okay so far, needs more balancing, which they announced will come in next updates.

Plot: okay, but kind of hectic, lacks conversation log and a "so far" summary, specially given that many people return after months not playing, since it's an early access game.

Music and audio effects: cool :)

Graphics and visual effects: also quite cool, just too bright sometimes

Multiplayer: dead, but your friends like it or you want to scout discord for people to play with, go ahead.

An outsanding game in the Metroidvania genre, part of the Igavania subgenre.

Game is extremely fun and well polished, tons of post-release updates. Amazing arts, from visual to sound, good plot. Controllers work like a charm.

Hello!

If you're reading this and is on doubt whichever you should get the game or not: I highly recommend you try it out, even without discount.

I played the original Salt and Lavaboot's Wild West and Wizards as well, so I'm a kind of veteran in their games. They do great lore, the games are fun and focused on exploring. Sailing feels chill and just what it should be in a single player game: simple, no frills, you can handle everything on your own.

Content is being added a lot and in a nice pace recently, including finishing and adding quests, new boat types/sizes (currently 5 kinds, some have variants), quality of life and bugfixing. Their updates are date-wise and not 0.X.Y.Z, so I have no idea how close it is to being released, but it's fully playable, enjoyable, main quest is finished for now. Maybe they will add more islands, ships and the planned co-op to wrap up 1.0, but either way, it's a blast to play it as it is!
